Good Morning to you all,

White evil stuff still falls from the sky, very thankful for only glazing here as the freezing rain is falling more south of us but still the roads are slick here. I am waiting to see what kind of a delay the office will have.

I have a bereavement visit that was to be around 8:15 but will need to phone and defer that to a little later on in the day.

Hubby checked our path from the house to the carport and nearly went over but he managed to right his cup of coffee (priorities) and get safely to the carport. Thankful that the temperatures are warming up so that is a bonus.

We are in the 60's tomorrow so this white stuff will not hang around for long.

Great day yesterday, ended up doing extra visits for colleagues and finished off at one only 3 miles from our home so I still got home in a timely manner.

Stephanie your supper sounded delicious. Love some fish which I may have to buy some red snapper tomorrow, I think that is my most favorite fish.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday, take care if you are getting any yucky weather.

Much love to you all.

Morning Sabby

Kind of tired this morning but calmer than yesterday, now that all this work at home nonsense is over. I'll have a chance to do it later in the year if I desire. We'll see, I've never really been keen on the idea, but if it becomes necessary I could do it. I was just glad that my employers were concerned, and aware of all the stress the process had put me through, which what I was hoping to see when I cancelled my request.

Did the grocery shopping last night, that was pretty much it. Looking forward to a Friday that will hopefully be free of drama. Hoping the warm weather will come soon and the snow will melt.

Good Morning, All!

Belinda and I are both Off today (as in Work) and are going to be Out and About, doing One of her Most Favorite Things: Looking. That Woman can go to a Store, look for the Longest Time and buy Nothing!

Good for our Finances, Not Good for the Economy!

Here's Hoping Yours is a Good One!

Good morning! I'm having my usual sloth Friday morning. But the sun is out, it's above freezing, so it's all good. First order of business is to put the rabbits back in their outside hutches. They need sunlight and I need my basement to smell better. Then a walk for me. I need to make a little Vitamin D and clear the cobwebs out of my lungs.

Time to get moving. I hope everyone has some warmth today, whatever the source.

Morning all.

It is frosty out there but should warm up. Dogs are out and fed and running the fence line thinking they are chasing cars.

Davey - funny cartoon related to my vent post from last night! Might have to copy and steal.

Joe - glad things are working out regarding your homework.

BC - a walk sounds so good!

Sabby - be careful.

Gotta wake Spidey up. TGIF and yippee not my weekend on call.

Good morning. Getting ready to head out the door soon. Yay! It's Friday. I have banker's hours today (9-5). We have surgeries this morning and I will probably do some chart auditing this afternoon.

I have the hiccups and tbey won't go away. ugh. Think I will grab a cup of tea before I go out the door. Too bad I don't have the cup DaveyDo created. I wouldn't have to hold it, it would walk with me.

Good to read you all. Wishing all a great day, and a safe one to alm in the bad weather areas.

See ya. :toodles:

Good Morning -

Just woke up . No First Coffee yet. It's still brewing. Plan to drink one as big as the one cleverly drawn in Davey Do's cartoon. (By the way, Davey, have you heard from friends, Dewey Cheetum and How yet??) (It's a little in-side thing that "The Do" and I have going on. This boy's seeing some $$$$$ in the future. You will pay, Do. Wink. Wink.)

Last night. . . I had a sick patient in the ICU. Now, I know that, lately, such words are rarely seen together where I work: Sick, Patient, ICU. But, golly, those words presented themselves in almost full glory. Was the patient so sick that he needed a ventilator? No. Was the patient so sick that he needed special monitoring devices like CVP lines and/or arterial lines while managing blood pressures using special IV medication? Again, no. Was the patient even sick enough to need a few liters of Normal Saline to help raise a slightly lower than normal blood pressure? Getting warmer!

For a short while, it was almost as if I was working in a real ICU. Blood pressures hanging around mid-80s over mid-50s (still with a MAP greater than 65). Heart rates Sinus Tacking away in the 100s to 110s. A temp just shy of 103. It looked promising that all kinds of cool stuff might need to take place: central lines, vaso-pressures, and maybe even a cooling blanket? But did these cool things ever happen?

Nooooooo. . . .

The blood pressure went up to the 120s over 70s. The heart rate went down to the 90s. And the temp? Well, the temp stayed around 101 before I left my shift.

Yep. . . good old Normal Saline saved the day.

In the meanwhile. . . . the most important thing took place. The poor chap was kept as comfortable as could be while he shivered and shaked. When he felt chilled, he was given extra blankets. When he was thirsty, he was given Ginger Ale as requested. When he was tired, he was allowed to sleep for a few minutes until the next automatic blood pressure cup inflated again which it did every 30 minutes or so until his BP was happy.

Nope. No drama tonight in my teeny-tiny ICU. "Just" a very sick-feeling fellow needing a whole lot of TLC and IVF. But a least I had a patient in the ICU.

Well. . . gotta get ready for an eye exam at the eye doctors. First? It's First Coffee time!

Peace. . . :)

Ted

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!

Grover_zps4fcfc2ee.png

I went to sing at a nearby nursery school/day care. They let me come a couple times a year and sing with the kids.

The women and man only turn on the TV to Sesame Street in the morning while kids are still arriving. Parents have a 2 hour window tho bring their kids.

Grover is my favorite monster.

The kids loved singing "Don't You Push Me Down". I just played chords on my autoharp. The kids were great.

This old recording has two blues greats Barbara Dane and Lightning Hopkins.

Good day all. A bit late to the party. I worked long hours today, came home to eat wonderful spaghetti nad be pampered a bit. Good thing. I get to do it again tomorrow. I am promised a late dinner tomorrow night also. TYG. This will be my norm. long days every Fri and Sat. It beats not working and I have never done well working at home. Some can, I have, but usually my best working time was 0230-0400 and most people really don't want to connect at that hour.

About time to hit bed so I can get up and do it again. My dog is sprawled all across the pillows already. I think she is trying to tell me something.

I will try to check in in am but no promises. Carry on.

You Tell him, steph!

I didn't want to make this a Public Matter, Ted, but you leave me No Choice:

Ted and I were having an Innocent Conversation some time back, Ted got Offended by Something I Said, and now he's Suing me, the Ligationous Louse!

I was informing Ted of something my Doctor had Advised me to do, Ted Questions me, and I Answer Ted's Question! And Ted gets Insulted!

But Worry not, Breakroom Buddies! Like Michael, who didn't bring a Suitcase with him and needed to reach something on a High Shelf, Ted does not have a Case to Stand On!

I have an Objective Document of Irrefutable Evidence that will prove my Case!

Exhibit #1:

Thank you. I Rest my Case.

It was HOW you answered the question, Dave. It was the "The Information" that you shared.

(Cue: Tears rolling down my face.)

(Cue: Sound of sad sighs and sniffles.)

You know darn well to the sensitive nature of "That Topic". I can't even mention it, it's so sensitive.

You. . . Will. . . Pay. . .

(Music Cue: Solo violin playing sad, sad melody.)

If only time can be reversed. If only the things that were said were never mentioned. If only. . .

If only. . .
