Good Morning to you all,

Do not think I have ever felt as happy knowing today is Friday, I am T-totally exhausted but I can get through today- I can - I can..........

I do pray I have some time to swing by the office to meet with my DPS I know I will get a week off before my colleague has her surgery because after that it will be game on again!!

Sad day for me yesterday with different things going on but one of my sweet patients developed severe SVC and was sent back to the hospice home, they will try to treat but I believe she is looking at palliative sedation and she is all for this as she does not want to feel like she is smothering and that she was doing yesterday. HATE cancer with a passion.

Looking forward in going hiking over the weekend to relax and clear my mind of this weeks troubles.

Still waiting for the bank to let us know about the l'il house we put a bid on, we heard it on the grape vine they were going to accept it but they LOVE to take their time so we still may not hear a thing for another 30 days. grrrrrr

Enjoying this weather that brings us sweet rain and we have had rain nearly every day now which has been well received.

Had our friend come over last night and did all the weed eating for hubby so I just have to do the ride on stuff. I may get out and do that tonight so my weekend will be freed up to do more stuff like hike- rest- hike- rest- sounds great to me!

Have an awesome day, take care and enjoy.

Much love to you all.

Evening, Sabby. Is here. I am off to bed shortly. Busy day with a PT with a broken hip due to a fall. Can't believe your luck!! The Flying Doctor plane was in the air near here and landed within 40 minutes. Awesome. All turned out OK but by the time I polished up the ends, I was knackered. So, to bed. Notice you have Joey on a diet and feeding someone else on weed. Now Sabby, is this good?

Got my new Rosemary engine up and running. She is awesome. So smooth and reliable.

Night night. Watch out Teddy Bears move over. Here I come.

Good Morning -

TGIF. . . That's for you, Sabby. Hope you get the vacation that you deserve.

Michael - Sad to read about your patient's broken hip. Ouch! Glad to read that your engine is running smoothly. Hope you get a good night's sleep.

Well, I got a really nice sleep. Been using the CPAP and that seems to be helping. Of course I'm sure that mowing, yesterday, helped too! Got the bottom part of our lawn mowed. Going to mow the top part of the lawn today. Also, got more music written. Amy said that I should write for Disney! LOL! The title of the piece is "Summer in Mid-July". It's an orchestral art-song (without the lyrics). The eight measure theme is purposefully happy-sounding, hence the writing for Disney comment! LOL! I do plan on keeping this piece light and jolly like children playing in their backyard. When it's done, I'll post it here.

I hope all have a pleasant day, today. Peace, folks! :)

Ted

Good morning. Sabby, Do get that time off. Existing to get to Friday is not a good life, or, I suspect as good look for you. Michael, glad Rosemary has adjusted to her new home. I am sure you will keep her purring like a kitten. Speaking of kittens, have all of you seen how big Dianah's have gotten? Ted, sounds like you have been hard at work. Between you and Sabby you could bottle it and make a fortune.

Had an enjoyable evening at work. I work mid shift today.

Last night I got a ticket on the way home from work. My registration is out dated. I knew that and just have not scraped up enough money to get it fixed to pass inspection. The cop told me he had to have it towed. I promised not to drive and he informed me that he got lied to daily, and asked why he should believe me. I told him I was a nurse. He then asked how that differed from a lawyer or a doctor about lying. I informed him I had lived with a lawyer and they lied. What ever hit him I don't know but he allowed me to drive home rather than impound the truck. That would have been at least $250, which I don't have or we would not have been discussing nurses being the most trusted profession. He was very professional and we parted on good terms.

Have a wonderful day and do not work too hard.

Care and Share.

Morning Sabby Michael Ted

Finally got the car back yesterday, thankfully it cost a lot less than I had expected. Wasn't done until the end of the day so I had to hurry to get there before the garage closed. Rain is expected today so I wanted the car before then. Did the grocery shopping afterwards. Yesterday was slow enough that I had time to ride my bike during my lunch hour.

Today will probably be more busy, but it's Friday! Going to be a quiet evening, going to watch a movie. Tired from all the bike riding so I'm going to take it easy tonight. Will try to get outside tomorrow or Sunday, depending upon the weather, will also have to see if dad is available.

Morning All!

Today is my day to do shopping, errands, and bill paying. Tomorrow is my 'Monday'. The fun begins in about 15 minutes, so my greeting this morning is necessarily short and sweet.

Enjoy your weekend!

Morning, all!

Day off today, for which I am grateful. I've recently changed my schedule at work. I'm still working the same days and hours, but on Mondays and Thursdays I split my day between 2 offices that are 30 miles apart. Just that little extra bit of driving tires me out. I know it's nothing compared to what Sabby does, but I don't really like driving and I don't have half her energy! The house needs some attention today and then I see my new PCP. I hope she'll give me a referral to ENT to investigate my horrible snoring. I don't *think* I have sleep apnea, as I do wake well rested. It's everyone within a 1 mile radius of me that doesn't sleep well! I had a fun evening last night with SO. We went kayaking for about 2 hours, then went to listen to a swing band concert on his town's green. We brought a picnic and had a lovely, relaxing evening. The music was fun and the mosquitoes weren't too bad. I love summer!

Sabby-I do hope you get your week off. You work so hard, but even you need a rest. I may be a bit behind in the news, but have you sold your house? Michael-Glad Rosemary is behaving and glad you were there for the patient with the broken hip. Ted, why don't you just get some goats and then you won't have to mow! Plus you can make cheese in your spare time! AKY-glad you got out of the towing. I'll have to play the nurse card if (when) I next get pulled over. Joe-I hope you have a good weekend and can get outside. NSIME-Hope you have a productive day.

I'd best get moving. My sister is bringing my nephew down to swim. He is autistic and loves to swim, but doesn't like crowds. He can have my pool to himself and swim his little heart out. Plus I get to play with him! I'll have a quiet evening at home tonight as I am working in Urgent Care all weekend.

Have a wonderful day!

I am done, done, done with all the errands and running around. Now to hit the shower and do a load of laundry (work clothes).

Hubby is in the middle of trying to straighten out MiL's woes at the hands of some phone scammers. They are working off a phone#

local to her area code, but are supposedly based in a small town in PA, and hooked up to the main "office" in India. He managed to get her to tell him what she was so upset about yesterday, just before she was on her way to CVS to get two $999.99 money orders to mail to them. And this is all over a little $250.00 computer! She is slipping gears, at 85 years old; I remember the day when NOTHING could get past her. But she believed all the threats and promises, and was wringing her hands and in tears that she was going to be arrested and lose her (already paid for) house. We are 2 &1/2 hrs away, which makes it difficult, especially since neither of our cars are suitable for doing much more than getting to and from work.

But, oh, you should hear my husband on the phone with them, he is an absolute BADGER. He is in touch with her local Sheriff's Dept, the Police Dept. in PA, the FBI, and the scammers themselves, at the phone #'s he has. He is making their lives as miserable as he possibly can, given that they are rolling in $$$ from all the old people they milk dry. He may not get her money back (we aren't sure exactly how much she has already sent because, one, she is too embarrassed to say, and two, hubby says right now he doesn't want to know because his BP can't take much more.) but he is determined to make them as sorry they ever thought to tap into her computer and then call his mother as he can, and HE CAN! If nothing else, he is getting a great deal of satisfaction giving them hell repeatedly at all hours of the day and night. They are falling all over themselves. It would be funny if it wasn't so serious. He used to work with the sheriff's dept when I first met him, and has all kinds of connections with the DA's office and others. May not get anything concrete accomplished, but he is on a MISSION and he is absolutely R-E-L-E-N-T-L-E-S-S!

More importantly, the next thing to figure out is getting together with his brother and taking over her "business", which will be a special little hell of its own!

Hi all - checking in and read you all. Cool about that nice police officer aky.

We are headed towards the Bay Area later this afternoon. Will stay around Vacaville and then head into the city for the Giants game at 1:05 p.m. tomorrow.

Looking forward to some time away. Got two books I ordered from Amazon yesterday. I'll be a happy camper.

Spidey invited a friend to go - the usual kiddo we take to the games.

Hope you all have a great day. Not sure if I'll take my computer or not . . . we'll see.

My friend's service will be a community event at the fairgrounds next week. She was not only quite a fixture at the hospital but in the community as well. Always giving to others no matter what it cost her.

See ya!

Joe- Probably not; this particular scam has been going on for many years. I was reading online on a site from England where the same thing was going on and it's all done through computers re-routing phone-calls from Calcutta. They were complaining that the gov't dept that was supposed to be in charge of going after this kind of thing were pretty useless. I don't know, but it seems to me it would be something Interpol should deal with because the FBI has no jurisdiction overseas.

The thing for MiL to do is buy a new little notebook computer and start fresh, and then not take computer advice from anyone she doesn't know, especially over the phone!

They call and say their from Windows Tech Dept. and that she has some problems with mal-ware on her computer and they would fix it for her if she'd go on-line and go to a certain site and click on the icon, so that turns access to her computer over to them to 'fix' it; whereupon they install their own little bugs.

Fortunately she doesn't do any kind of banking or bill paying on hers. She mostly plays games and does a few e-mails. Then they told her that someone had hacked into her computer and was accessing child porn and she was going to be arrested......but they could fix it for yet another fee, this one MUCH more expensive than the first money she sent them.

Bunch of lowlife so-and-so's.

I honestly don't know why they don't block my hubby's # and not take his calls. He said he talks to the same 2 guys every time, but the guys give him a different name each time, like he's not going to recognize their voices. He is really hounding them; like they even care. But it helps hubby to be able to vent, because don't nobody dare mess with a Southern boy's Mamma and expect to get away with it!

Hello from a little town about 2 hours from SF. We stopped for the night; had Mexican food; the boys swam for awhile. Now, poor dh is trying to sleep and the boys are playing a game. But lights out in 3 minutes.

Will be up early to head to the city. Game starts at 1:05 p.m. but we want to get there early so the boys can get autographs and watch warm-ups.

There is a big fire that started late this afternoon in the county where we live . . .. the sky was dark with smoke and it churned up fast and black. The sun was blood red. It is only 10% contained at this time.
