Good Morning to you all,

Another morning up way too early but it is FRIDAY so I am sure I can get through the day. LOL I am sitting here sipping on my tea and contemplating my navel, I woke up in a silly mood so watch out world is all I can say. LOL

Busy day yesterday, kinda messy in a way and had to swing one visit to today as the patient was not home on my regular scheduled day and time! Makes today look busy which it will be but none the less shall get it done.

So looking forward to long hikes this weekend in much nicer weather and I have noticed spring bulbs popping up in gardens around where I have traveled so that is a good feeling.

Will be such fun getting nicer weather, being outside doing stuff than hunkered down inside but I am not complaining we got a lot of moisture out of that snow and the rain we have had since. The ground is well and truly sodden but will bring on the green grass.

Got home and played with the dogs outside then cleaned up their yard while they chased each other.

Hope you are all doing well with life in general. AKY I am pleased you love your new job. So happy for you.

Well time to get another cuppa.

Much love to you all.

Good Morning, Sabby! Good Morning Progeny!

Sabby, you have a Tendency to Start Off this thread and the Day on such a Positive Note. You are the Eternal Optimist. Even though you don't need my Permission, keep Being you!

Your Interpretation of The Ground being Sodden is not a Misnomer. My Basement Garage is now leaking on the North Side. I had Previously Hydraulically Cemented the West Side last Fall. A Water-Logged Garage does not a Good Work Space make, so the Blue Funk, my Antique '51 Chevy Pickup, will have to wait until Drier Conditions beckon me Forth to Work upon it.

Soooooo- I'm Playing with, in Alphabetical Order, AN.com, Art, and Belinda.

Just Reading over Posts often Inspire me to Listen to the Little Voice in my Head and Come Up with a cartoon. The Person of Inspiration this Morning is Joe NightingMale:

I can't say I've ever been woken up by a skunk.

Was woken up by my alarm clock today.

Okay. Have a Good Day!

Good morning Sabby, Davey and all who follow.

My internal alarm went off too early. Already I am ready for more coffee, I have sunned myself, and think I might make oatmeal for bkft. Breakfast is always a challenging meal for me. I am never hungry when I get up, I know I need protein and other than cheese or eggs I can't think of anything I would like. My body type - built like a tank, low to the ground and heavy at the bottom, does not need the fat or cholesterol. Any suggestions?

Today, end of my first week of new job finds me frustrated at the on line education at work. I took a module yesterday and could not pass the test. An example of the crazy questions: What time does the paperwork have to be emailed to corporate? Real answer in module- before 3 pm. Answers in test. a) before 3 pm local time b) before 3 pm at corp. headquarters or c) end of day. I gave up and went to the person who is mentoring me. She told me she did not pass that module either. The district manager or someone sang the answers to her on the phone. We laughed, and I continued to learn in a better way than the crazy questions.

Crossing my fingers that DGS will make it through the first rounds of wrestling tournament. If so I will travel a couple of hours tomorrow morning to watch sweaty young men trying to pin each other in ways the body was never meant to move. It is always easy to see which contestants have already wrestled, they have ice wrapped around various parts of the body. I have a love-hate relationship with wrestling. Fortunately he is good enough that he rarely has had many injuries. That does not calm my mind when he is on the mat. My fingernails go through my fists. Great sport-I hate it.

Well bkft time. Oatmeal and raisins.

have a great day.

Good morning Sabby and Davey!

AKY: Oats have good protein. Would you like some walnut o pecan halves in you oatmenl? I love them and raisins.

Or whole grain toast with peanut butter?

Fiber and protein keep me full a long time.

I've worked a lot lately. Today I plan to run errands and clean house.

Davey I can say that I've never considered a skunk alarm!

AKY breakfast is difficult for me too. I usually have high fiber cereal, though it has to be eggs/cheese/veg for another week for me.

Morning Herring and Sabby

At home today for a bit, need to call tech support and get the phone working. Once I do that I'll head into work. Will probably clean out the cubicle then, as I'll be ready to work from home once I have a working phone.

Yesterday wasn't too bad, mostly got done what I wanted to get done. Spent some time arranging the work from home stuff. I'll be glad when that's finally done.

I'll be glad when I'm done with this first part of the low carb diet too. Quite restricted, and I'm still feeling hunger and cravings. Oh well one more week and I can relax a bit

Will see dad over the weekend and discuss when he wants me to come and check on the house while he's away.

TGIF!! I feel like this has been a long week. I think I'm just tired of dealing with weather related nonsense. Everyone's crabby. I'm going to attempt to shovel off my deck today. I still can't open the door, so I'll have to go through a window or slog through the back yard. The window is looking pretty good. Hopefully no one will see me. I hope I don't get stuck like Pooh did. Then I'm off to pick DS up at college. He hasn't been home since he went back after Christmas, and it will be good to see him.

Oatmeal and fruit is my breakfast of choice these days. I love steel cut oats, cause I like the chewy texture. I cook them with brown sugar and some freeze-dried fruit, and throw in some pecans in the end. I've been looking at slow cooker oatmeal recipes and may try one, as they do take a long time to cook, and I sometimes wake up too late to make it. My back up breakfast is Greek yogurt and fruit. Lots of protein and yummy. That's my summer go-to breakfast. I love, love, love oatmeal toast and peanut butter, but I tend to eat too much of it, so I try to stay away. Sorry Joe-I'm just running off about carbs and you're on the wagon. Sabby-I am so ready to see green grass. Dirty snow doesn't have the same appeal. Davey-have fun playing, with whatever you're playing with at the moment! I love the skunk alarm cartoon. Herring-will you please come clean my house? I don't know if I will bother with that til Sunday. DS will come home and dump his stuff, so there's no use cleaning before hand. AKY-it's Friday and your first week is almost over!! Yahoo! I hope DGS does well in his match.

Off to squeeze through the window. Send honey if you don't hear from me for a few days.

Good morning!

Joe, when I do the first part of the low carb/high protein induction I buy Atkins Shakes for breakfast. 2 gms of carbs. Also, Atkins has started making frozen meals which are surprisingly good. I like the Orange chicken. 6-7 grams carbs for the ones I purchased. I get this all at Walmart - much cheaper. I also have almonds or peanuts or cashews on hand for snacking. Yesterday I saw a package of deviled eggs at the deli and bought those for lunch.

Spidey's report on The Sphinx is due today - but he needs one of those clear folders. So, he walked up to the hardware store to see if they have any. I've looked here at home at his sibling's old school work but so far, no luck. (He just ran back in the house - they don't open until 0800).

Not much else to report. Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning -

Just woke up. I feel sleep deprived. One of my canine family members was absolutely crazy this morning and would not let me sleep after I came home from work. I thought about killing the dog. It would have been a slow, painful death. Instead, I just turned the television on and put the pillow over my head. Both dogs had been outside just before I went to bed. They had the potty time. They had their run in the snow time. They even had a snack when they came back in. I do not know what the problem was except that maybe the howling high wind might have freaked him out. It doesn't take much to freak out our two canine family members. Wind. Thunder. A butterfly flying by. I could not calm the dog down. He wanted to come into the room with me. They know better. They KNOW that they can't come into the bed-rooms. He's better now. The wind has calmed down. He's calmed down. But rather than sleep 3 or 4 solid hours, I got about 2 so far. Blech.

Gonna fix some lunch then attempt more "ZZZZZZZZZs" in a while. I work again tonight then I'm off for four nights. That's good.

I hope to come back later and read the posts. Right now I'm bleary-eyed and hungry.

Ted

BC gradnurse;

It is easier cleaning someone elses house. I did that one summer. If the empoyer didn't have a list I asked what was most important to them.

Once the wife had been in the hospital. They called me when there were no clean dishes.

I washed pots and dishes all day. Only the kitchen was cleaned. They were happy

I have a friend who loves to clean my place. I will gladly feed everyone if I don't have to clean. To each his own. My pleasure is your poison and visa versa.

My next door neighbor and I often eat together and almost always I cook. It works for us so two women alone don't have to eat alone. She hates to cook.

herring-I don't like to clean anyone's house.LOL I like a clean house, but I don't like the process of getting there. I can think of so many other things I'd rather do. But, it must be done and so I do it, whining the whole time. If I ever have the extra cash I'm going to hire a cleaning person. Or, I would trade cooking for cleaning. Or pet sitting for cleaning. Or almost anything else for cleaning.

I'm not a fan of cleaning either - but love a clean house.

I'd much rather be outside doing yardwork. Love gardening.

Fell asleep at 11:30 p.m. but woke up about 1:30 a.m. and now can't go back to sleep. One call for hospice too and we have another patient near death.

Tinnitus is very loud the last few days.

What else can I whine about? :sneaky:
