Good Morning!

It's 7:07 AM (EST) in this part of the world. Currently, drinking First Coffee. It does taste good.

Had a relaxing day off from work, yesterday. Did some light grocery shopping, burned some DVDs which will be mailed later today, and sat my fat butt down on the couch and watched favorite re-runs of "The Big Bang Theory" and "Mom". (That Fit-Bit watch that Amy gave me for Christmas is still in the box, untouched, underneath the Christmas tree. Had I been wearing it, it would have reminded me to get up and do some exercise. L O L! 😂)

Today? I'm not sure what I'm going to do, to be honest. It supposed to be warmer outside today. So, I might actually go outside and do a power-walk. (That might make The Fit-Bit happy, if I decide to wear it.) I might also work on that music composition that I started a few weeks ago. (That involves a fair amount of sitting in one place, which would displease The Fit-Bit. L O L! 😜)

Tomorrow, I work, then I'm off Sunday night.

Nothing much else to say. First Coffee is almost finished. Gonna get me Second Coffee.

Cheers! 🙂
Ted

Decent day at work.  Productive and still slow enough that I was able to get a load of laundry done

After work got grocery shopping done and exercised too

Should be another fairly quiet day at work, though for the next 3 days I'm covering for another employee so coule get pressed for tiem

J left this morning for CA, will be there for about a week

Might go to my sister's this weekend to ooen gifts since we didn't get a chance on Christmas Eve

Will still be fairly warm the next 2 days, 50s today up to 60 tomorrow

Good Morning!

Ted, enjoy your FitBit but glad you enjoyed a relaxing day and had a decent Christmas.

Joe, hope you have a relaxing day.

J22, sorry about the scene but it's understandable that if your husband violated the agreement that his sister would be upset.  Hope your husband enjoyed giving the gifts anyway.

Stars, sounds like you guys had at least one good day with Nannie.  That's a lot of sleeping.

Work was okay.  They got  us a float nurse and we were decently staffed and able to take five post op patients.  Naturally we got our usually shift change admission dumped on the night shift.

I did a good job not eating the junk the last couple of days.  There were a lot of sweets and a free meal that I passed on.  I had a couple of pieces of chocolate and that's it.  It wasn't easy.  During discharge rounds I watched the case manager eat practically a whole box of donut holes and to keep myself from joining him I ate some fruit from a plate a family member gave us.

My post-Christmas weigh in was kind and shows me at my goal weight.  A few weeks ago I was four pounds over it.

Off today and doing some laundry (it's "wash the sheets" day), cooking and shopping.  The usual day off stuff.  Working this weekend.

It's warm but cloudy and going to rain later.  We really haven't had good weather this Christmas.  Feel bad for the visitors.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi. Sitting at work, considering going home because of intermittent  abdominal discomfort that has been going on since yesterday. Still munching on saltines, which was my entire intake yesterday.

Dd got some terrible news last night. The principal of the grandkids' school was killed in a murder/attempted suicide yesterday and she is pretty broken up and worried how her boys will take it. Don't I know how to be a downer?

Speaking of Fitbits, I've had one for a couple of years and was hoping to upgrade to an apple watch. So dh gave me a gift certificate for one! And eldest ds gave me a Garmin watch with is apparently great for sports, like running and cycling. Now I don't know what to do. I am actually considering keeping both.

The rain moved in last night, showers predicted for the rest of the day. I am hoping this tummy thing passes by tonight, because we are taking youngest ds out to dinner for his birthday, and I'm itching to go for a run in the morning.

I am going to try some tea now and see how that goes.

Later

Good Day Tweety, Joe, Ted, and nursej22!

Gonna clean the kitchen today. REALLY clean the inside of the cupboards and refrigerator. I did the oven last month after cheese sauce spilled when taking out scalloped cauliflower. (that was a smokey mess.)

4 PM and having the usual afternoon, Nannie-wise. She's been arguing w/ hubby for two hours now, saying she has got to go home; she has to be at school; where is the closest highway that goes to her house; this is not her house; what time do 'they' serve supper at this place, etc, ad infinitum.

I see lots of telephoning starting on Monday. Meanwhile I'll check out another link or two of the 7 links that my sister sent to us about making all the changes we need in order to 'take care of' Nannie. It is looking more and more like she's going to end up at some facility.

My sister told me that when our older brother was taking care of his (now deceased) wife, who had Alzheimer's....he had a heart attack from all the stress. YOIKS!

Over and out...

Hello all.

Ted, did you take your power walk?

Tweety, good you were staffed adequately, and kudos for not losing appetite control around the holidays!  Hope you enjoyed your day off.

herring, cupboards are clean now?

Joe, did you decide to go open gifts at your sister's?  Safe travels to J!

nurseJ22, hope your stomach settles down.  Did the tea help?  I used to give the kids ginger tea when they had unexplained stomach upsets.   So awful about the principal's family!  😞

No Stars, agree with beginning phone calls on Monday!  The process is progressing/escalating.  Can't be fun for anyone.  And VERY stressful for you and your dh.  One day at a time.

It was cold today and the mountains looked so beautiful with their snow!  We have no plans for the weekend.  We are all done with our seasonal music!  I will have Tues and Wed off next week, which will be nice.  I had to cover in a couple areas the past two days, due to call-outs from those above the snow line who couldn't get to work.  Our schedule was very reduced, which was the only saving grace.

Hope you have a good evening!
