Good Morning!

J22, what a shock to find out about the a-flutter.  Hopefully you can get some treatment and get more energy.

Dog woke me up at 6:00AM for breakfast.  Funny how that dog can tell time.  I slept the night from 12:300 until then which was nice.  Although that's an inadequate amount, I'm going to try to stay up because I have to work tomorrow to make up for having my schedule changed to go to the concert.

Patti LaBelle was great.  She still has that amazing voice at age 74!  Didn't realize that was her age.  Best friend brought a can because his foot is bothering him.  Not sure if it's tendonitis or some kind of arthritis.  He had an MRI and has an appointment to follow up on Monday.  Hard to see him in pain because he's so active, always walking the beach and such.  A course of Indocin did nothing for the pain he's feeling.

Bumped into an old friend that I know has been through cancer treatment, but not sure what kind.  He lost a lot of weight, but looked okay because he was somewhat obese.  His husband says he's on Epogen and the chemo and radiation kicked his butt, but that he's doing okay and they have a new appreciation for each day.

Going to try to be productive today and go to the gym, do laundry and cook a couple of dishes.   Hope to snap out of my fog and funk.

Have a great day!

Morning Tweety

Was rather tiring day yesterday, with an early morning meeting and a telephone meeting in addition to my other work.  Was very tired by the end of the day

Went a bit off diet.  But weight has increased less than a pound since last week, so I'm still within goal which is good

The person who was supposed to call about that outpatient position never did.  Oh well, I'm currenlty not really interested in new positions.  Want to wait a bit and see what happens

J's friend is continuing her decline, the nurses at the SNF are talking about hospice.  At least she seems comfortable

Today meeting J for dinner as usual

Morning-

I'm off work until Wed.  I'm supposed to be using this time to clean out the basement, but the dumpster hasn't arrived yet and it's raining.  Does that mean I can lie on the couch and read instead of cleaning?  I'm currently attempting to make beef jerky in the oven.  It's a good high protein low carb snack, but is expensive to buy and I want it to be additive free.  I have the oven on convection so I hope that helps dry it out.  The cats are very interested.

Tweety-Glad you had fun at the concert.  I didn't know she was 74, either.  She seems to be in great voice.  Hope your fog and funk lifts.

Joe-Glad that your weight is staying steady.  Have fun with J tonight.

J22-Sorry to hear about the A-flutter.  It does explain the fatigue.  When do you see Cardiology?  I hope the N-acetyl cysteine is helpful.

Hey Nel, Herring, Dianah, Spidey's Mom, Ted (in the UK), NSIME, and everyone else who stops by.  Hope today is good for all of us.

Ooh, the dumpster is here!  My day on the couch is ruined!

Have a wonderful time cleaning out that basement, BC. 😳

Glad the source of your problem was discovered, nursej, now I hope the fix is an easy one. Yes, the grass can wait for another day.

Working all weekend.

Oh, how I dread it. I wonder how short staffed we will be.

I think the thumb I got my steroid injection in has developed trigger finger.

Still waiting for my EMG appointment.

Safe travels to all.

He is here now. We've been having to turn off water to the toilet after filling the tank for weeks. Husband's plumber friend said he would do it, but has been to busy. SO we are finally getting a new toilet.

Hello all - just got caught up.

I was in Oregon and Washington for the last few days.  I saw my daughter in Portland and she took us to an excellent Chinese restaurant.

Then two days in Bremerton, WA with my oldest son, his wife, and my two grandkids.  We had such a great time. Love those rambunctious kids.

Got home last night.  I'm still of work but a bit worried as we still have zero census.

I'll be heading over to look at Ted's photos.

You all have a good evening.  I'm still off on "vacation" until Monday.

oh my gosh, I am glad this very, horrible bad day is over.

I slept poorly last night, so slept in until 8, when I leapt out of bed realizing I needed to get a fasting lipid drawn. I had a bad feeling when I got to the draw station, when there were eight other people waiting. I came to realize that there was only 1 phlebotomist on duty. 1 hour and 15 minutes later, I got my blood drawn. I stopped by the farm store on my way home to purchase some hanging baskets that dh assured me would arrive, but , nope. Okay, I'll stop by Walgreens to pick up the supplement that the NP recommended. Nope, they don't cary it. So home I go, and call to make an appointment at the cardiology office that the NP office had faxed a referral too. Nope, they didn't have the referral and wouldn't book the appointment until they got it. Call to np office, with fax number provided by cardiology office, and a request that they call, too. Phone call 2 hours later to make appt, nope, no referral yet. Back to farm store to get baskets, nope, not in yet. Stop at grocer/pharmacy to see if new Rx is filled. Nope, my insurance is wrong. Somedays you're the windshield and somedays you're the bug.

I trust the new toilet is in, BC's dumpster is full, and everyone's day went well. I am going to bed, pulling the covers over my head and hoping for a better tomorrow.
