Good Morning to you all,

Very busy but productive day yesterday, still managed to have a lunch break and a little office time not so bad I have to say. Should also be a nicely paced day today.

Heading to my RA doctor to get these ruddy wrists injected, have to get some relief from this pain! Probably should have had it done on my last visit but did not have the swelling I have now.

Had a lot of noise with a storm that blew over last night although it produced little rain, would dearly love some more heavier rain to soak in all the goodness that hubby placed on the lawn a couple of days ago.

Hope you all have a most excellent day, prayers for those with health or life issues.

Much love to you all.

Morning Sabby, I hope the injections solve the wrist problems

Well, I'm on vacation! Not leaving for Wisconsin until tomorrow, but I have today off. Going downtown to meet my best friend for brunch, then going to pack for the trip

Had a bit of a scare, did the grocery shopping last night and at first my car was acting up, very rough idle. Thankfully it stopped after a few minutes, I think with all of the wind and rain some moisture got into the engine.

Spent most of the evening watching the various weather reports from north central Illinois, I've always been interested in severe weather. Thankfully here we just had rain and wind and a little hail.

Good Morning, all!

Hubby woke up at 3 AM with his right arm "thundering"....we cranked up the dial on the numbing medicine ball and he took some hydrocodone and I put an ice pack on his shoulder. Right now it doesn't hurt, but by the time I remove the nerve catheter tomorrow he will have tried out the Dilaudid they gave him for pain.

Kind of gloomy and overcast right now, but we aren't supposed to get rain until this afternoon.

Boy-dog was so funny last night. I was hot and kicked the covers of my feet and he thought I was going to get up; He cussed immediately because I'd awakened him, "dammit!" I had to calm him down so he'd settle in and go back to sleep. Usually if I'm going to make him move, I say "Excuse me, boy-dog" and he gets up without a word. But there have been a few times when I've moved my feet and knocked him off the bed. Now when I start moving my feet if he's down at the bottom of the bed, he gives a brief, short growl to let me know he;s down there, like "Watch it, lady!"

Only have a few errands to run today, but I have time to drink my coffee first.

Hope everyone's Friday goes well!

NSIME, the weather being humid/unsettled could affect your dh's shoulder.

Might, too, from here on out.

My dh has a CIDP (chronic neuropathy in his legs) and I have a friend with chronic pain syndrome in one leg. They both strongly feel weather changes in their affected areas. Pain worsens, dh's legs feel "cold and wet" tho they are dry and warm to touch, and the two of them report feeling more clumsy, less coordinated.

Sabby, hope the injections ease YOUR pain!

Joe, sounds like a nice day and good trip are planned. :)

This is my one day off every two weeks.

I am getting my computer time in then will take off to do errands.

54 degrees here.

That's our winter.

The only weekend plans are possibly going to Disneyland on Sunday.

Maybe will go to the mountains on Sat...

Y'all have a good Friday!

Stepmother is OK. she was understanding with the nursing students who were quite nervous. One did her first IV start. Another was so very nervous to ask about her living situation. ***** was happy to talk about her senior community, it's amenities, and activities.

She did tell me to, "Go to Costco and ask for Howard. He knows what kind of batteries I need for my hearing aid. I told her I would take a run down battery to another place and buy some batteries. I was only gone a short time. When I came back to the hospital she told me I bought too many.

That was my day yesterday.

Gonna take a shower so I'll be ready for whatever is needed.

Oh, ugh, the numbing agent is wearing off and hubby has lots of heavy pain. Figures it'd happen for the week-end when a change of narcotics won't be happening. Not sure that two 2 mg. Dilaudid q4-6 hrs is doing the trick. He can't sleep in the bed, and is in the recliner right now; still not altogether very comfortable. It's going to be a rough week-end, and he has PT on Monday, which is also going to be a trial of 'discomfort' for him. Wish I had a magic wand , like a honking big syringe full of lidocaine/novocaine, and Caine-o-caine.

Guess I'll go to bed now and hope he manages some sleep....
