I have 2

One is a 4 strand Q-hook afghan in a multi-colored yarn.

The other is a knitted shawl that i'm making to wear to the work Christmas party.

I also keep a small bag with cotton yarn and a G hook to make dish cloths with, great for any place that has a long wait to it.

I really want to take up scrapbooking. I am in the process of organizing hundreds of photos, then I'll be able to start. Right now though, I draw. I have always loved to draw and my husband got me into drawing tattoos which I really like to do. I've designed a lot for myself, but I'm still too chicken to get it done.

IN 2005 I WILL HAVE BEEN GRADUATED 40 YEARS AS A REGISTERED NURSE AND HAVE WORKED FOR THOSE 40 YEARS. I HAVE SAVED OLD UNIFORMS AND AM IN THE PROCESS OF USING THOSE UNIFORMS[CLEAN OF COURSE] ALONG WITH OTHER MEMORABILIA i.e. name tags, pins, photos TO MAKE A MEMORY QUILT 40"X40" WHICH I WILL TAKE PROUDLY TO THE REUNION AND THEN DISPLAY IT IN MY FAMILY ROOM.

I have an ongoing project of painting pieces to add to my Christmas village. Right now I'm working on the bakery.

I love crewel also. I have a couple crewel projects going.

What a neat idea! Maybe you can post photos when it's done?

i don't have any craft hobbies per se, but am a definite do-it-yourselfer.

i recently finished a very detailed quilt for my sister.

and i'm readily inspired with house projects and sm. remodel projects.

i'm thinking about tiling my kitchen backsplash with those 1 inch mosaic tiles, after painting the kitchen.

and http://www.hgtv.com is an invaluable resource and inspiration for me.

i've always wanted to learn how to knit.

my list of to-dos would be endless.

I'll never get all the crafts done. I have a crewel I pull out every now and then, an ongoing project of making counted cross stitch Christmas ornaments (dated of course), crocheted afghan (only one skein left to put in), yarn for several sweaters, an unopened oil painting set with easel (a gift), material for several skirts and a couple of tops, and a chasible all cut out and ready to sew. I guess that's all I can think of.

I'm pretty embarassed to admit to this, but I've been trying for six years (yes, years) to complete a quilt. I get started and I either get too frustrated or lose interest (temporarily).I made a huge mistake trying to do as my very first quilt a queen size one. I did complete the squares for it, but they were all crooked. Then later on I decided to go ahead and see how it would turn out...well, it's a nice cat bed, lol. I've tried other projects but I really just need someone to show me how to do this, I've read countless books and a few videos on it, but I am the type of learner who really needs someone to just sit there and show me how.

I need to take a class but just seems like everytime one is offered, it's either full, I've lost interest again or don't have the time or $$ for it.

Oh well, maybe someday I can get one and finally complete it.

I quilt when the mood strikes, but I've been into making bracelets lately. I've been "commissioned" to make bracelets with the letters B-M-A for various co-workers.

As maid-of-honor in my friend's upcoming wedding, I'm going to be using the ribbons from the bridal shower to make all of us bouquets for the wedding rehearsal.

But what I'm really looking forward to is a six-week cake decorating class that I'm taking later this month. I love to bake and have always wanted to be able to adorn my cakes with beautiful flowers and such.

I paint pictures (mostly acrylics and the occasional oil) Friends and family get most of them and I sell the rest on ebay (ok, they don't go for much 'cause they're not that good, but it's nice to think that someone who doesn't even know me wanted them!).
