I just saw on the news a couple weeks or so ago that a Dad and his sister were both found OD'd on heroin in their car with his child in the car seat in back. I think they said they were found in a parking lot of a convenient store. This heroin epidemic is so sad and scary.

Sad as heck! Up here it\s meth. Badly.

Last January I was at work when my chest started hurting after running around the building.

My left arm started tingling very bad and I just overall felt real bad

I admitted myself to our small town ER. The first words out of anyone's mouth, who just so happened to be the LVN doing triage I believe, was along the lines of "How much meth did you consume? Do you do cocaine or any other stimulants/illegal drugs?"

Some folks tell me it was because I work 7 days a week, and just looked burnt out, others tell me it's hospital policy. Just that big of an issue up here.

That or...

I was actually envisioning a cold solid colored med surg floor of a prison hospital. The monotone being broken by a nonchalant, usually female voice with no emotion on the automated intercom saying

"RAPID RESPONSE..RAPID RESPONSE....SECOND FLOOR....ROOM....123...."

Followed by...

"CODE...BLUE...CODE...BLUE...SECOND FLOOR....ROOM....123....

Spent way too much time with family at Clovis Community to know that sound.

And the sigh of relief when you realize it's not your loved ones room number.

Thank you so very much, Crush. I am very happy you enjoy them.

Speaking of moral compassess and appropriate behavior, I believe The Forces that Be/Those In Charge at AN.com are very accepting of my expressions. I would like to also thank them for that.

I realize some of my memes and cartoons push the envelope of appropriateness. I strive to make them entertaining and on topic while also expressing thoughts and feelings in a different fashion than just the written word.

The feedback I have received has been generally positive, some negative, and I appreciate both. The feedback we get on our behavior allows us to titrate our actions and direct them toward a desired goal. This thread is an example of that process.

Is this situation even based in reality? Some members have given quite good answers and advice as though it were. Some members have toyed with the fact that the situation is a fabrication. The only one of us who knows if this situation is real or not isn't picking up he phone.
