You are reading page 5 of FBI reopens its investigation into Hillary. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

Wall Street, certainly. As president, I would want Clinton to advance some effective way to constrain the finance industry from sucking our economy dry again. This will be hard and I'm glad for the presence of Warren and Sanders as counterweight to her yuppie "greed is good" instincts.

Did I say Clinton was "against Wall Street"? If so, I didn't mean to. I don't think she is. For one thing, she probably can't afford it. For another, the finance industry is too embedded in the American economy to meddle with carelessly. It's not going to be easy to thread that needle.

I guess I took your first comment in the wrong way then.

Democrats should ask Clinton to step aside - Chicago Tribune

The Trib isn't conservative but this is just one of many things I've been reading lately from former Hillary-backers.

Has America become so numb by the decades of lies and cynicism from Clinton Inc. that it could elect Hillary Clinton as president, even after Friday's FBI announcement that it had reopened an investigation of her emails while secretary of state?

We'll find out soon enough.

It's obvious the American political system is breaking down. It's been crumbling for some time now, and the establishment elite know it and they're properly frightened. Donald Trump, the vulgarian at their gates, is a symptom, not a cause. Hillary Clinton and husband Bill are both cause and effect...

Maybe we all just got so used to watching tv shows like Scandal or The Good Wife this kind of atmosphere seems part and parcel of real life and politics.

I still think politicians should not stay in their jobs for a long time - they get power hungry and cross ethical lines.

In my opinion.

I just don't see how Clinton is more of a liar than any other politician. Does she lie more than McConnell, Gowdy, Walker, Christy, or Snyder? Please put any politician's name into that list which wasn't meant to be exhaustive.

Yes, I know she has been accused of corruption and lying but where is the evidence?

Yes, I know that millions of people are convinced that she is a criminal guilty of all manner of evil up to and including murder, but where is the evidence?

I have never seen The Good Wife or Scandal.

I have watched a good portion of House of Cards.

Why is the political opposition to Hillary Clinton so personal all of the time? Why are the accusations fierce, frequent, and oft repeated but the supporting evidence or documents so rare and mysterious?

Let's assume for a moment that she is guilty of every single thing that has ever been claimed against her. All of it. Doesn't that create another important question?

Why is it that the GOP, with nearly limitless advocates, access, and budget (the tax payers have paid most of the bills) have never been able to produce enough solid evidence to even charge her much less convict? How long have the GOP been accusing and investigating...20 years? 25? 30?

Does this mean that the country's greatest evil political mastermind is a woman?

Or does it mean that the charges and accusations against her are largely libelous misrepresentation and lies?

Yes, you did - that paragraph and the one following both refer back to the question of for whom is she advocating.

I'm not sure about term limits ... they may make the situation worse, if no one can stay in office long enough to learn how to do their jobs well. Wouldn't that give even more power to lobbyists and unelected civil service bureaucracies than they have now?

I'm all over the place about term limits and can't decide on a stance. One the one hand, they are elected by the people legally. People obviously want them and elect them and we should be free to elect whom we nominate and choose.

On the other hand people constantly running for re-election don't always follow their conscience, but are concerned about getting re-elected. i.e. "I can't be seen co-operating with Obama because it will cost me votes later".

Of course it's not on CNN, silly!!!

I knew I would get this response. Predictable.

The story is now off of Fox's front page.

Trump being investigated by the FBI is the headline on CNN.....

Both candidates being investigated.

Best. Election. Ever.

Hillary will most likely win. Of course, it's not a shock. America will never be able to charge a former first lady, senator, and secretary of state -- all rolled into one package! No matter how loud the stink is about the matter. Trump also has his issues. It's interesting to find out who truly wins, especially if one (or let's say a million or so?) choose NOT to vote.

Oh my god, do you not know the latest, or do you just choose to ignore? Do me a favor and just read the latest Wikileaks. It's over for Hillary. It is all unraveling.

Actually, I think he is desperate to serve up something dirty on Clinton. To my eyes, he is clearly biased against her. He was on the Sunday morning talk circuit after closing the investigation with the decision NOT to indict, saying that he felt she had been careless and irresponsible. As the head of the country's highest law enforcement body, giving loud and public voice to his personal feelings about an investigation, especially one that didn't even produce an indictment, was highly unprofessional.

You think Comey re-opened a case, just to "get something dirty on Clinton?" Do you think he has put his neck on the line for nothing? Do you think he'd bring about a renewed investigation, to go against all of his superiors, as a political move? It's against the law for the FBI to interfere in a political campaign. This information goes back to her original investigation, independent from where we are now, before the election. This information must be so compelling that he needed to pursue further.

His career is over, either way.

Flawed logic. Trump may have his issues, but deceptive, lying, cheating, rigging the campaign? Colluding to take down all others? Have you paid attention to Wikileaks? She's reprehensible.
