I heard this today. It's actually my favorite song by KC & The Sunshine Band....it wasn't popular here in the USA, but a huge hit int he UK spending five weeks at #1...don't know why I know that trivia, but I do.

Credence Clearwater Revival - one of my favorites from the era

CCR was, is, and forever will be one of my all-time favorite groups......listening to their music brings back great memories of life 40+ years ago when summer stretched out endlessly before us. Ahhhh......long hot days spent at the big community pool, where "Born on the Bayou" and "Green River" would blast from the PA system as we kids chugged ice-cold Cokes and played in the baby pool to annoy the moms. Life was GOOD, I tell ya. :smokin:

More trivia that I know CCR is one of the most successful groups to have the most #2 songs on the chart without ever having made it to number 1. They had five #2 hits. Don't know why I know this but I do.

Have we actually made it through this thread without this? My first "boyfriend" gave me this album. I broke up with him two weeks later.

Here's another can't forget -- thought I'd throw in some other icons of the '70s as well

My 15 y.o. daughter just discovered the Fleetwood Mac "Rumours"album and loves it. I take full credit for her fine taste in music !!!

Just about anything from: "Rumors, Boston, Wings Over America, Tapestry, Hotel California, Bad Company-Run With the Pack, Yellow Brick Road." I could fill pages with this stuff, but I'll leave it there.

Oh, and the ring tone on my phone is CCR's "Who'll Stop the Rain" and my wake up alarm is "Heart"s "Barracuda".

I need a reason?
