I do not consider Trump voters to be enemies.

I think that many of them are indoctrinated into a way of thinking. I think that their media outlets have been compromised by Russian intention to divide our nation. I think that the GOP has long used right wing focused TV and radio programming to convince their voters that they could not trust liberal mainstream media of any kind. I think that the Republicans wanted a narrow spectrum of sufficiently conservative media choices in order to have a coalesced and coordinated message.

I think that in 2016 the GOP lost control of the messaging of their citizen base when Putin flooded them with anti Clinton and anti liberal propaganda. There is a single face, voice, and vision for that party and the people now. TRUMP.

I think that a group of people who have been manipulated into self isolation in the larger world of information, who have been fed fear and loathing of others, who are distrustful of anything except that which comes from the leader or the promoted media is also known as a cult.

I don't think that republicans are my enemies, but they are currently acting exactly like they think so.

You are a better person than me, baloney.

Seriously.

Don't you have whole another thread to make your "I hate Trump and anyone who voted for him" and "conservatives are stupid" themed comments.

Anyway:

WATCH: Ocasio-Cortez Caught Misleading About Her Campaign, Political Issues | Daily Wire

Let me remind you, Dude, that YOU brought him up for discussion.

I graciously apologized for bringing him up, when he wasn't in the thread tag line.

You brought him up. If mentioned, I will let it fly, just what I think of him.

Please don't feign innocence.

I don't live in her district, so I don't really care. It's amazing to me how many people who have no intention or right to vote for her care about her campaign.

I'll tell you why I care about her campaign.

She is the future. This country has been dragged so far to the right in the last 18 months, that it is going to take somebody like her, to pull it back to the center.

I wish her the best.

I don't normally contribute to out-of state campaigns, but I am this election cycle.

Yes, that comment was to BCgrad re: athletes getting a free ride in school instead of qualified students or financial aid to others. My point was if it is truly a private organization (Ivy league school) then they can do what they want, but they do take tax dollars so should be held to account. And, so should Charter schools.

For what it's worth, Ivy League schools do not give athletic scholarships. Nor do they award merit scholarships. They do, however, give very very good financial aid. Because they are so selective, however, and have so few spots relative to large public institutions, the number of people who benefit is relatively small.

Just curious why you would support someone who thinks Socialism is a good idea and how you think it will work/play out here in America.

How do we as a country give all these "free" services to all people: Medicare, school including vocational/college, guaranteed job/guaranteed min. wage $15/hr, housing for all homeless, new electric system by 2035...who pays??

Also, she wants to abolish ICE and demilitarize the police.....so you think less police is better and that will help society be safer!

Also, she supports Cori Bush (they were together at the rally) where invited speakers praised cop killer Assata Shakur and supported the Ferguson protests (Bush marched there) when it was proven that Darren Wilson was acting in self defense and no police brutality happened (And I am not saying that there is never any issues/discrimination, but it did not happen in this case)

I don't think that the country has been dragged to the right in the last 18mo, I think it is the fact that some dems have dragged the country so far to the left that maybe it feels like that to you because republicans are trying to get back to center.

Why socialism always fails - AEI

You want Socialism...as the old saying goes... be careful what you ask for, you might just get it!

I doubt he can legally survive the fire storms surrounding him.

And Muller isn't finished.

Michael Cohen is interesting, and he's talking.

Keep on drinking the Kool-Aide, Dude!

He has survived the "fire storm" so far.

No Muller isn't finished yet, but for the millions of our money they have spent they sure haven't come up with much yet, and zero about Trump doing anything wrong.

Cohen tapes, well a lawyer isn't supposed to even have tapes, so how can we believe any of those at all, altered tapes?

I consider Trump and apologists to be the enemy!

I though we cleared this up on the other thread, so anyone who has a different opinion than you is the enemy? Just sad!

I'll take Democratic Socialism any day over Fascism, which is where we're headed now.

America's big shift right - CSMonitor.com

Just 7 years ago, as the Tea Party moved the GOP to the right, conservative outlets saw a shift right. Now that shift is denied while the Tea Party and the Freedom Caucus push against compromise with liberals.

Polls have shown the people leaning progressive when it comes to personal freedoms and opportunities, but the GOP has not necessarily leaned with the people.

And I would say that right back to you and other conservatives. You wished for and got, a corrupt, ignorant, embarrassment of a president. For some reason you all love him. I just don't get that.

No, once again, we don't all love him. So please stop painting everyone to the right of yourself with the same brush.
