Don't forget that Valentine's Day is for the guy too

I just wanted to put something out there for us guys. Yeah, some of us (and some of us are not) romantics. There is nothing wrong for the lady to remember her guy on Valentine's day either. I was married once for a long time. Never got anything for Valentine's Day. My wife, however, always received a dozen red roses, a card, and her favorite box of chocolates. I never complained, but deep down, I felt a little neglected in the holiday. Again, some of us guys enjoy knowing that their mates think of them and appreciate them too.

Just had to mention this.

Peace.

New lava rocks for the gas grill would have spoken to my soul, or possibly (seriously), anything she thought I would like I would love.

Sorry, I know you asked Wolfie. It was a great question.

.....anything she thought I would like I would love.

Sorry, I know you asked Wolfie. It was a great question.

Thanks for asking, Justhere.

I would have to agree with the above in what Abs stated very nicely. Thanks, Abs.

It isn't necessarily what I got from her. It is simply that she thought of me...and that it wasn't necessarily just her holiday to receive. Maybe something so simple as a book from an author that I enjoy or even a gift card. Like the saying goes, "it is the thought that counts"...that she thought enough about me.

Again, thanks for asking.

Awwww Wolfie!

I'm trying to come up with something to get the boyfriend, but not totally sure what yet. Was thinking of getting a nice picture frame and putting a picture of the two of us in it.

Keep the ideas coming!

Reminds me of "Mother's Day" this year. When my co-workers asked me if I'd called Mother, they were shocked when I said "No." I got hounded for that...

... except, my rationale is pretty simple. I don't need/pick one particular day of the year to honor my parents. Everyday is Mother's/Father's Day. In fact, one of my co-workers told me that she'd rather her sons call her every week (like I do) than receive that one call during holidays...

BUT, as for ideas --- A good home cooked meal is a sure bet. The route to a man's heart is through his stomach :p :D

cheers,
