You are reading page 124 of Donald Trump as GOP hopeful: Take him seriously. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

and? It is his job to deal with finances with running a business, obviously he is not financing his own projects. What is the point?
He said it.

Why talk about this and refuse to discuss the allegation that he used other peoples donations to his charitable foundation to pay court ordered donation as settlement of lawsuits?

Why refuse to provide any one year's taxes?

Especially hypocritical from the guy who lied about the President's being a citizen and repeatedly personally demanded to see his birth certificate, then publicly doubted it was real. An demanded the President's high school and college transcripts.

Interesting, isn't it? Feeding, clothing and sheltering children with other people's money is baaaad. But losing other people's money (while paying yourself millions), as he did in Atlantic city, makes Trump .... what? A hero? A business genius? What would Trump's casino investors have to say about that?

Yup - definitely a values election.

Bill Clinton was and perhaps is a pig. I'm not quite understanding why flights he took in 2001 to 2003, 15 years ago means anything. Philandering Christians get to say "my wife and Jesus forgive me" and get a pass. With Trump it's "it happens". To me his past is a closed issue and her handling of her marriage isn't a valid reason to discredit her as a qualified candidate for President.

In Trump's case it's the candidate himself that was a liar and cheater, but still gets a pass. But in Mrs. Clinton case, it's her husband that's a liar and cheater (rape charges have fallen flat) but she gets grief. She's always wanted to keep that side of her life private and I really don't think she's defended his actions at all but has saved their marriage. Doesn't make sense to me.

So you are saying Bill Clinton going on a convicted pedophile's plane over 26 times does not matter but Trumps tax returns do? LOL!!!

You do realize the plane was called "Lolita Express” due to sexual activity with minors taking place on the plane don't you?

Here's a quote from the article from my year old quote post. Statistics can be funny in how people interpret them. It pays to look at some of the things driving the stats.

If you want conversation and want to be listened to and taken seriously, you can leave the petty insults about my wanting to be silly and uninformed out of the conversation because it really only serves to add to an appearance of lack of credibility on your part and a desire on my part to ignore you. Then again, I can take what I dish out...you might have said "you're post makes you appear silly and uninformed" rather than what you said.

What a bunch of rubbish. That lie of poverty causing more homicides has been disproven long ago. Rural areas are poorer than urban areas. Explain to us why the homicide rate is higher in urban areas.

Latinos and Blacks share a similar poverty rate. Now explain to us why Blacks, 13% of the population, commit 52.5% of all homicides in America but Latinos don't.

Donald Trump Clung to ‘Birther' Lie for Years, and Still Isn't Apologetic

It was not true in 2011, when Donald J. Trump mischievously began to question President Obama's birthplace aloud in television interviews. 'I'm starting to think that he was not born here,” he said at the time.

It was not true in 2012, when he took to Twitter to declare that 'an ‘extremely credible source'” had called his office to inform him that Mr. Obama's birth certificate was 'a fraud.”

It was not true in 2014, when Mr. Trump invited hackers to 'please hack Obama's college records (destroyed?) and check ‘place of birth.'”

It was never true, any of it. Mr. Obama's citizenship was never in question.

No credible evidence ever suggested otherwise.

Yet it took Mr. Trump five years of dodging, winking and joking to surrender to reality, finally, on Friday, after a remarkable campaign of relentless deception that tried to undermine the legitimacy of the nation's first black president....

Once again the origin of the birther movement came from team Hillary. She was losing to Obama and doing everything she could to win.

Larry Johnson, operator of the NoQuarter blog, described his cooperation with the aide, Sidney Blumenthal in September 2015.

I know firsthand, and can testify under oath, that Hillary Clinton's 2008 campaign was hot and heavy on the issue of Barack Obama's muslim heritage. How do I know? Because I was a conduit for information from Sidney Blumenthal, a Hillary Clinton confidant. I was not an official part of the campaign. I was not on the staff. But I was a supporter and I have no regrets for trying to help Hillary defeat Barack Obama. I did not knowingly make up or manufacture anything about Barack Obama. Just tried to get the facts out.

On Sept. 16, 2016, Johnson posted another description of his work with Blumenthal, after an editor for the McClatchy news service reported that Blumenthal prompted the news service to ask an Africa-based reporter to check out rumors about Obama's ties to Africa.

'I am shocked at the audacity of Hillary Clinton to decry Donald Trump as a birther because her campaign not only pushed that item in a bid to discredit Barack Obama, but mounted a sustained campaign attack Obama on a broad array of issues,” Johnson wrote on Sept. 16.

Pretty delusion to claim Trump did "relentless deception that tried to undermine the legitimacy of the nation's first black president" but I guess that is what happens at the Clinton biased New York Times!

Since when is the definition of two Tweets, that were two years apart, considered "relentless"?

Fair enough. Actually, I went back and reread what you said and I must have misread it at first as "just to make yourself look silly and uninformed" as if you were accusing me of deliberately wanting to look silly. However, that's not what you said, you said I look silly and uniformed. That's o.k. with me when it's put that way. I've said the same thing to other people, so I can take what I dish out. No problem.

I really don't believe that you're sorry that I might have been offended.

Back to the topic, I too stand by what I posted, that statistics are indeed facts and I'm not arguing with them, but what are the driving forces behind those statistics? Is it poverty, racism, internalized racism? The fact was at the time when someone is trying to address white cop on black crime, it's not appropriate to try to divert the subject to "what about black on black crime or that blacks commit more crimes?". OK...now what about police brutality.

Here I'll give you a clue.

Do we have race issues worse because Obama has fanned the flames or did America fan the flames when a black man took office? He says what needs to be said without being politically correct, that there is a race problem. He has been widely criticized for not doing enough for the African American community, but imagine if he singled them out and made policy in their favor?

That cell phone camera phones have come around to record the bad cops doing their job shooting people running away, with their hands up, etc. is not Obama's doing.

There are some deep seeded problems for sure, with no easy answers.

Do you think we would have had this problem if Herman Cain was president? I think not. Obama has been driving in wedges between the races from the start.

In 2009 police were called to the home of Henry Louis Gates, a friend of Obama's and a professor at Harvard, after a neighbor reported a break-in (when they saw Gates struggling to enter his own home as he had to break in). Police arrived on the scene, and Gates was arrested after he became uncooperative.

According to the police report, the police arrived at the scene, went up to the front door, and asked Gates to step outside. The police, Sgt Crowley, explained he was investigating the report of a break-in in progress; as he did so, Gates opened the front door and said, "Why, because I'm a black man in America?"

Don't know about you but I would be HAPPY to see the police if they responded to me breaking into my own house as it shows the neighbors and police care.

Obama, during a press conference two days later, was asked about the incident and famously responded, 'I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home.”

It then came to light that Gates refused to give responding officers his identity and became belligerent with the officer on scene, Sgt. James Crowley, who arrested Gates for disorderly conduct.

When faced with criticism from law enforcement unions for his premature comments, Obama called the situation a 'teachable moment” for the country (but not himself) and invited both Gates and Crowley to the White House for a 'beer summit” to patch things up.

The punchline came when it was revealed Crowley taught a racial profiling course at the Lowell Police Academy and received high praise from officers of color that knew him.

Next is Trayvon Martin. The Trayvon Martin case is one of the most visible examples of the Obama administration's deliberate poisoning of race relations; all in coordination with the NAACP, the racial grievance industry and the corrupt leftist media. We now know that the administration had direct involvement in fanning the flames of racial discord that brought the case to the national stage. The Eric Holder-led Justice Department's Community Relations Service (CRA) was sent to Sanford, FL to help set up meetings and organize protests. Among other services, the administration arranged an escort for college students participating in a 40-mile march to "demand justice" for Trayvon. When the situation erupted, Obama then famously took the racial motif national, saying, "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon."

Even after the jury rendered its not guilty verdict in the Zimmerman trial, Obama, once again, injected himself into the case, this time noting that "Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago," and launching into a lecture on race -- despite the fact that a Martin family lawyer, Trayvon's stepmother, the Sanford police, and an investigation conducted by the FBI all concluded the case had nothing to do with race.

Next we have Mike Brown.

The police shooting that spawned Black Lives Matter and the media's love affair with race riots. Brown was confronted by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson after Brown assaulted and robbed a local store. The confrontation became physical, and at the end of it Brown was shot dead by Wilson.

Wilson was cleared of any wrong doing by both a grand jury and Eric Holder's Justice Department when both determined Brown had initiated the physical confrontation by attempting to secure Wilson's gun. The incident and the protest riots that followed were covered heavily by activist, ear-plug-happy members of media who propagated the symbolic myth of 'Hands of up, don't shoot,” a reference to Brown's supposed posture at the time of a fatal shooting (that the Washington Post deemed the biggest lie of 2015). The DOJ concluded that Brown did not have his hands up in a surrendering manner at any time during the altercation.

None of this, however, dissuaded the Obama administration from sending an official White House delegation to Brown's funeral prior to the conclusion of the investigation. Wilson was given his walking papers and forced to move his family out of Ferguson.

Next we had Alton Sterling and Philando Castile who were shot and killed by police.

But, once again, unanswered questions and open investigations didn't stop Obama from giving a late-night statement where he believed it was once again his duty to use his office to comment on two local law enforcement matters while overseas in Warsaw, Poland, where he is attending a NATO conference. He even declared he 'could not comment on the specific facts of the case” but somehow was able to declare they represented broader disparities of institutionalized racism in the country he has been in charge of for the past seven years.

As Obama concluded his statement, organized protests started up across the nation in cities — one of which was Dallas, Texas. This is where 5 police officers were killed due to Obama's actions.

Now we have riots because a black cop killed a black thug cause the thug pulled pulled a gun.

Your comment of "shooting people running away, with their hands up" has been proven to be a lie so you really should stop repeating it.

LOL!! Shows the desperation of the media for this for trying to make it look like a big story! Their "source" is a Facebook post!

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend posted on Facebook that she visited with former President George H.W. Bush, and claimed that Bush told her he was voting for Hillary this year.

She is the daughter of Robert F Kennedy and has been a longtime vocal supporter of Clinton's campaign.

Jim McGrath, a Bush family spokesman stated 'The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in 50 days. He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim.”

Report: Trump used foundation money to settle lawsuits

Donald Trump used $258,000 of his charitable foundation's funds to pay settlements in two different lawsuits The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

Both settlements required Trump to make contributions to certain charities, which he reportedly did using his own foundation. In a 2007 lawsuit filed by the city of Palm Beach, Fla., Trump agreed to make a $100,000 contribution to a veterans organization in lieu of paying $120,000 in fines over the size of a flagpole on his Mar-a-Lago resort, according to the newspaper.

In the other instance, a Trump golf course was sued by a golfer over a prize for a hole-in-one shot. The golf course signed off on a settlement requiring it to pay $158,000 to a charity of the plaintiff's choice, the Post reported, but the donation came from the Donald J. Trump Foundation instead.

A number of experts interviewed by the Post said that the payments could violate laws prohibiting officers of charitable foundations from using their group's money to benefit themselves.

Tuesday's report also details how Trump used foundation money to buy a $10,000 portrait of himself and pay for $5,000 in advertisements for his Washington, D.C., hotel...

Yeah a complaint lodged by a Democrat which is being investigated because it "COULD" violate laws. Not like where Hillary Clinton DID violate laws intentionally.

About the only thing Trump has contributed to that foundation since it was first set up is his name. Not illegal, but taking credit for whatever philanthropy it might engage when little or none of his own money is involved in is mighty slimy.

Also, owes around $250 million to Deutsche Bank, which is currently in hot water with US regulators. This includes the negotiation of a settlement for their role in the housing crash that led to the 2008 recession.

After boasting of his own pay-to-play escapades during his primary campaign, does anyone seriously believe he won't get involved?

Some more mistruths as usual. Trump has given 2 million to his foundation since 2004:

Nope, nothing more than his word. I know he was rich from inheritance from his father. For all I know he has mucked it up. His main (only) claim to fame is that he is highly successful. OK, lets see.

Except it's no violation of the law and the president has the authority to do so.

Thank you captain obvious.

Still waiting for you to PROVE Trump is not successful.

After that explain to us why this law does not apply to Obama releasing Trump's tax returns genius:

26 U.S. Code § 6103 - Confidentiality and disclosure of returns and return information

(a) General ruleReturns and return information shall be confidential, and except as authorized by this title— (1) no officer or employee of the United States,

(2) no officer or employee of any State, any local law enforcement agency receiving information under subsection (i)(1)© or (7)(A), any local child support enforcement agency, or any local agency administering a program listed in subsection (l)(7)(D) who has or had access to returns or return information under this section or section 6104©, and

(3) no other person (or officer or employee thereof) who has or had access to returns or return information under subsection (e)(1)(D)(iii), subsection (k)(10), paragraph (6), (10), (12), (16), (19), (20), or (21) of subsection (l), paragraph (2) or (4)(B) of subsection (m), or subsection (n), shall disclose any return or return information obtained by him in any manner in connection with his service as such an officer or an employee or otherwise or under the provisions of this section. For purposes of this subsection, the term 'officer or employee” includes a former officer or employee.

Not obvious enough if you still have difficulty reading and understanding the law about tax information pal. Do you need an interpreter?

Who can you be talking about? I am definitely NOT a Democrat and I have written about Clinton's vote authorizing the invasion of Iraq MANY times in the group. Its why I view her as unfit to be a small town mayor. much less president, as I have written here many times.

False reports are off topic.

You are either one of those people who thinks they are unique by useless third party voting, one of these whinny Cruzifer supporters, or a regular establishment GOP who adored Jeb.

Ah I get it!
