You are reading page 116 of Donald Trump as GOP hopeful: Take him seriously. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

Yes, I know all of that. Matt refers to himself as a journalists. I have heard him do it. He certainly didn't preform the job or a journalist. Might as well have been Jerry Springer moderating. At least Jerry doesn't claim to be a journalist.

Honesly I don't know Matt so I cannot comment. I primarily get my news from the Internet. So I fall into stereo typical categories of millenials.

My caveat wasn't a sniff at your disgust I share it. I suppose I was just trying to point out that the media in general is in a tough spot.

Its not that I think critiscism isn't justified without it they will never adapt, and improve. It's just I understand their situation.

It doesn't justify shameless acts of dishonesty, but in grey areas I usually give them a pass like I do most people.

Today candidate Trump made another untrue claim. He said Hillary started the birther rumor and he finished it.

The rumor started in early 2008 with an anonymous email questioning Obama's citizenship that was spread by Hillary supporters, not Hillary Clinton herself.

Donald Trump Trolls the Media, Turns Phony “Birther” Press Conference Into Hotel Infomercial | Vanity Fair

After baiting the entire media into attending the opening of his new Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. by promising to finally address the birther controversy swirling around his campaign, Donald Trump used the opportunity to turn the event into a national informercial for his latest real-estate project. He said only a handful of words about President Barack Obama, briefly acknowledging that he was born in the United States, before leaving the stage. Reporters, who were told it would be a press conference, were not allowed to ask any questions.

As for Trump's promised statement on the birther issue, which he brought into the mainstream in 2011 and continued to champion as late as January 2016, Trump offered one sentence acknowledging Obama's U.S. birth, and added two lies:

Hillary Clinton and her campaign in 2008 started the birther controversy. I finished it. You know what I mean. President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period. Now we all want to get back to making America strong and great again.

You know, I think if the GOP had just run a "Let's Find America's Most Unconscionable Turd Contest", instead of trying to find a Presidential nominee, the winning result would have been the same.

That also says the birther movement came from Clinton supporters, not Clinton herself.

Yes, it does. From someone in the campaign who was promptly fired. In any case, Trump did not start it.

Unless that "someone in the Campaign" was Clinton then it doesn't actually appear to say it came from Clinton herself.

No one said he statrted it. He was in the media daily stating it over, and over, and over, and over, and over.

If anyone doubts he did I can find and post proof. Please no one doubt what we all know to be what he did.
