I would vote for him today. Just watching go "you're fired" to all the inept people now in charge would make me chuckle.

Couldn't the next conservative Republican Prez just hire The Donald as the new "You're Fired" Czar?

That'd be good.

I'll tell ya - it is getting so darn hard to stay in California. Even my 26 year old was complaining to me last night and he's been like Sweden most of his life. ;)

Great idea! He would escape the vetting and senate confirmation process that way.

Sorry. Take him seriously? I don't. Even before I knew his political aspirations and views, I thought he was a joke. If the GOP nominates him, what little credibility they had in my eyes for having Ron Paul - the only consistent one - in their ranks will be completely shot to pieces.

PS - Steph: Sweden or Switzerland? :)

I figure the Reps. have been reaching into a really bad barrel of fish. First they pull out Sarah as a way to show youth? in the face of McCain, now "The Don". Why? I doubt if I could vote for the man who has such hair. If this is an example of the caliber of candidates Mr. O will have an easier time than I figured. Especially if "The Don" does plan to split the Rep. vote as he has threatened. Just because he might have money? Well, we do know that deep pockets are very attractive to some. He wants to buy an election? Well, he can't sell it to me, with his greasy salesman hair. No ballot for me.

I guess I should take him more seriously, but with his track record it is really hard.

I've been over on the "Name that Tune" thread and it reminded me of something I read the other day:

"Carly Simon's song, You're So Vain, is about Donald Trump."

Another one: "The Republican primary looks like the bar in Star Wars."

:p

Trump's a joke with all that ignorant birther nonsense.

Trump/Palin 2012....slogan would be "You're fired/I quit"

I think he at first wasn't serious, but not that he's getting so much attention he's giving it serious consideration because he loves the limelight.

He explains things so people can understand them and he speaks his mind. People particularly love him for speaking his mind without apologies.

:lol2::lol2::lol2:

did you make that up?

yep, i like his straight-forwardness.

but...i get the impression he'd be very rigid w/his decisions...

that he's not much of a collaborator, and what he says, goes.

anyways, i too, think his candidacy is a joke...

and it's a sad day when money is the deciding factor of qualifications.

You've just given a perfect description of the current occupant of the White House! With a goal to raise $1B in campaign fnds for 2012, Obama must either believe himself to be very beatable, or the competition to be formidable.
