Here is a thought-provoking opinion piece by a former DHS official. White supremacist terror is rising, and Trump's policies kneecap our ability to fight back I am neither for or against Biden, but I think our country needs to do more about domestic terrorism.

I would agree. However, I don’t for one second believe Biden is sincere that he thinks it’s important.
Apr 27, 2019 by herring_RN, ASN, BSN It is becoming a world wide threat. Quote The number of terrorist attacks by far-right perpetrators rose over the past decade, more than quadrupling between 2016 and 2017. The recent pipe bombs and the October 27, 2018, synagogue attack in Pittsburgh are symptomatic of this trend. U.S. federal and local agencies need to quickly double down to counter this threat. There has also been a rise in far-right attacks in Europe, jumping 43 percent between 2016 and 2017... ... Of particular concern are white supremacists and anti-government extremists, such as militia groups and so-called sovereign citizens interested in plotting attacks against government, racial, religious, and political targets in the United States.... There also is a continuing threat from extremists inspired by the Islamic State and al-Qaeda. But the number of attacks from right-wing extremists since 2014 has been greater than attacks from Islamic extremists. 2 ... With the rising trend in right-wing extremism, U.S. federal and local agencies need to shift some of their focus and intelligence resources to penetrating far-right networks and preventing future attacks. To be clear, the terms “right-wing extremists” and “left-wing extremists” do not correspond to political parties in the United States, such as Republicans or Democrats. Opinion polls in the United States show that most Republicans and Democrats loathe terrorism. https://www.csis.org/analysis/rise-far-right-extremism-united-states https://www.cfr.org/article/mail-bombs-hate-crimes-and-meaning-terrorism https://www.people-press.org/2018/01/25/economic-issues-decline-among-publics-policy-priorities/012518_2/

Well, for now, there is another administration in office and they should do more, rather than less, as the article indicates.

It's pretty much a liberal stance, so I don't see how you don't think he's sincere about it, as most liberals are, but I can't define your world for you. Yes, though pretty much 90% of what you see out of Biden (and Trump for that matter) is going to be about getting elected. Trump is quite sincere about fighting terrorists and illegal immigrant criminals. But seems to show no interest in making any kind of effort an helping combat an issue that kills probably hundreds of times more people. In fact quite a bit of politicians and Americans are like Trump. *shrugs shoulders* Edited Apr 28, 2019 by Tweety

And his businesses have employed scores of them over the years. It seems to me that his efforts are quite obviously insincere. He is playing to the rabid base. They are the only folks who actually like him.
Apr 28, 2019 by guest52816 The latest case of domestic terrorism only reaffirms my belief that the most dangerous people in this country, are young, White males, with easy access to guns.
Apr 28, 2019 by guest52816 I will be making my second donation this year, to HIAS, the Jewish philanthropic organization that aids refugees. Each time there is a horrific mass terror attack carried out by the rabid right, I make a donation to HIAS. Although, this month, I also made a donation to an organization in Brownsville, TX that aids migrants and asylum seekers at the southern border. Besides knowing that my $$ helps people, I love the idea of aiding those the rabid right seems to hate the most. I hope others will consider doing the same to counter the hate.

Again And it's going to keep happening as long as the NRA has a stranglehold on our legislators. Some would prefer we continue to martyr our children rather than take a serious look at gun control.
