I am doing weight watchers so I'm trying to work out 4-5 days a week. Mostly walking 30-60 minutes, jogging 2 of those days, sometimes hiking or the elliptical at the gym. I do work full time so it's hard but I make it a priority. Hoping that when I go back to school next month that I can keep this up!

I have lost 20 lbs in 13 weeks so its been worth it!

I'm training for a marathon. I don't run on days that I work, though, which is making it tough. That would just be too much.

Before I was a nurse, I worked out religiously 5-6 days a week at a gym.

Now I don't have the time, but I have equipment at home, so I do yoga and pilates 3 days a week for 25 min. I find exercising boosts my moods and helps me sleep.

I have to catch up to my dad. He ran his first marathon at the ripe age of 60. So thanks to him, I found a new motivating factor.

Does the 6 miles I walk during a shift count?

Seriously, I just started trying to work out on my off days. I have been doing 1-2 days a week hiking and jogging for about an hour. I would like to do the hiking once a week and go to the gym 3 days a week on my off days. I would be very happy if I can make some life style changes and work out 3-4 days a week for at least an hour a day. Also, I need to start bringing healthy snacks to work. I work nights and I eat at least 2 unhealthy snacks each shift.

@RNewbie:

I work nights. I pack granola, cheese strings, oatmeal and fruit. I also make the time to cook healthy meals on my days off, enough for work.

Those unhealthy snacks will soon catch up with you, especially on nights.

Absolutely, yes. I do yoga for 45 min. about 5 days a week. I do cardio 3-4 times per week. I need to get back to strength training. Exercise is health and vitality.

Yes! I feel terrible if I don't work out. I go three times per week for at least an hour, and I incorporate cardio and strength training into my routines.

If it's an uneventful night on night shift, I'll do some squats or push-ups at work to keep my blood flowing. Something has to be better than nothing, right?

I miss working out, used to run 5 days a week. My hubby and I go to the gym once or twice a week and I try to eat super healthy to compensate. :( I miss being in fantastic shape.
