My sister is a retired nurse they sent her a letter she will receive $2M from a patient she took care of years ago. This is clearly a SCAM.

Most of the "rich" patients I have cared for in their fabulous homes ... have  not exactly been known to be what you might call "generous", Dead Or Alive!!

Am reading this late - not too long ago, I received one of those 'the IRS is investigating your account and you will be prosecuted blah blah blah' calls.

Only then it was a British voice with a very official sounding clipped accent!

Like that was supposed to further impress upon me the seriousness of the scam!

Sometimes when I receive a phone call that I KNOW without a doubt is being made by a whole slew of scamsters (by hearing the cacaphony of voices in the background) I will hesitantly answer in the few Finnish words I know, like counting to ten, but varying the tone of my voice like I'm speaking a sentence ... I hear a pause ...then they say, "Is there anybody there who speaks English?" Once I said, "Non", they'd hang up on me!

The Robo-calls are no fun to mess with...just stupid recordings.

I LIKE YOUR TACT!!! Maybe I'll try the itty bitty Hungarian I know from childhood.

There's a Youtube clip of how a guy responds to scammers with one word, "YES". He answers "YES" to every question the scammer asks. On & on, he "YES"s to the scammer for questions on end. Hysterical!

You can hear the scammer become excited (like wow, he's got a live one). Then scammer sounds befuddled. And then he becomes annoyed and you hear his deep breathe exhale.

Finally, the scammer has had enough and asks "are you an idiot?' and hangs up.

Funny as hell!

Once I got a call from a supposed IRS agent....on a SUNDAY. She did the usual threat of arrest; so I said "I LOOOOVE men in uniform, so send 'em on over!" When she told me this was SERIOUS business, that I owed them $XXX,XXX.xx !!! I laughed and laughed. I told her she was pretty stupid if she thought any US gov't office works on the weekend! DUH!

Scammers are constantly writing proposals and threats on Facebook. I got scammed severely by a person who used the Title of the scam Grants For the Elderly Poor. I was recruited by my former BIL who I had a great relationship with. The only reason I went for it was because he kept begging me. I am now slowly paying off that big debt😒.

In the matter of scam calls, Nancy Reagan would have been accurate with her adage: "JUST SAY 'NO!'"

We live in the era of liars, conmen, and charlatans. Believe nothing.
