You are reading page 3 of Do YOU Keto?. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

In trying to figure out what my "balance" is, I tend to eat the same things over and over to make it easier until I feel like I've adjusted. Maybe I should have said "we are on break" - cause chicken and I are on break. Maybe eggs and I can try working things out.... or maybe I'll just forgo both chicken and eggs right now and not really care who was first because they both suck.

Sorry about shrimp - have you tried fresh shrimp without the preservatives? It could be the tri-poly or whatever the fisherman puts on it. My fella is a commercial fisherman and I can eat them right out of the river, but not if anyone has dipped them (and almost everyone dips them so they last longer).

I'm allergic to shellfish. I was so upset about it I went and saw an allergist and I'm definitely severely allergic to shellfish but he told me to try regular fish. I want to try salmon but I'm afraid.

If your test to salmon was negative, then ask if you can try an oral challenge with salmon in his office. That way you can try it in a safe environment where any possible reaction can be handled.

Thanks. I'll try that!

Update, my wife's A1c dropped a full point to 5.8 from 3 months ago on the Keto diet. I've hit a plateau but part of that could be increased muscle mass due to 3 day a week workouts. It was nice going through the closet and getting rid of a couple of bags of clothes that don't fit.

For a sweet fix our go to is sugar free gelatin cut into cubes and mixed with home made stevia sweetened whipped cream.
