Thanks to Facebook, I am definitely moreso in touch with them than if I didn't have that tool. (I wonder which readers here are thinking that I just made a looney statement)

I don't have many RNs in my life who I could share nursing stuff with besides my old classmates. Sure, I work with plenty of RNs now but 1) it's not always safe to share unfiltered nursing thoughts with them and 2) coming from the same educational background, my classmates and I now share a similar nursing philosophy and they understand (read: agree) the best.

I have just a couple of friends from nursing school on Facebook, and two girlfriends I keep in touch with regularly. One of them is a bridesmaid in my wedding :) she's one of my best friends.

A few on Facebook but I rarely use Facebook. But other than that not really. It was a diverse age group of students with vastly different personalities and ethics. Not to mention the two "main" cliques that I was happy to not be a part of....

Not really, not like I thought I would. I became really close with one classmate. She flunked out of nursing 3 and never went back, but we stayed friends. She hosts karaokee at a bar I go to with myf riends, so I saw her a few weeks ago.

She still works as a secretary at a local hospital like she did in nursing school, but she's making herself a nice career hosting karaokee!

Sometimes I am a little jealous!

Not really. I finished 37 years ago though. Where I went to school most of my class were ex military, military wives or people who had transferred in from a school 60 mi away that closed. I was the only one from this area. Our class had 33 and I believe I saw one or two the first few years I was at the hospital, but we were never close in school. One has died and one has retired.

I don't as much as I'd like to. Like others have said through Facebook we are able to keep in touch most. I wish it was more but schedules and family life make it hard.

I did until the constant comparing of each others jobs and the calls looking for employment hookups got tiring.

I work with a couple of nurses I graduated with and stay in touch with a few others through Facebook. And some I haven't seen since graduation. I would love to catch up with some of the ones I haven't seen. I miss those people!
