Did Trump get a medical degree from Trump University???

I've been reading the articles about Trump's disregard for scientific facts, this time having to do with vaccination and not global warming. He thinks both are scams.

When he was a candidate no one thought would ever get elected, people could ignore the rantings and ravings about how perfect babies would become autistic because they received vaccinations. Now that he is President he continues to talk about how vaccines cause autism and that they don't work, and doesn't seem to understand what vaccines are and how they work. His latest rant about how the flu vaccine is the biggest medical scam of all time has me wondering just how far he will take his influence as President, steps toward actual harm to our nation's children because he will do everything possible to work against proven childhood immunizations.

Tapping Robert F. Kennedy Jr to head a "vaccine safety commission" is like putting a Catholic priest in charge of an abortion center. Not gonna work out well is it? RFK is hardly an impartial party in a position to aide in investigations, as no matter what evidence has been put forth by the scientific community that recognizes vaccine safety, he still consults with the likes of Andrew Wakefield, and still insists vaccines aren't safe!

Every day I listen to the news and every day my heart dies just a little more in learning how military knowledge, ethical concerns, scientific advances are disregarded by the regime currently in charge of our country.

I think before long we're going to see Vaccination Opt Out forms on the top of every enrollment packet for kindergarten, and funding withdrawn from medical charity groups who provide vaccination to impoverished children. The constant march backwards is killing me.

Well, enough people voted for him that he and his ilk get to call the shots for the time being. The rest of us can resist as vigorously as possible, attempt to educate people (although Trump and so many Republicans seem to revel in their ignorance and misinformation, and wear them as badges of "honor"), and look toward the next election. Maybe reality will have hit for enough people by then ...

you should really try to channel and that anger and hostility you have for losing into something productive.

This is a terrible public health issue. As nurses, we all know what a lifesaver vaccines are. For the president to discredit them is criminal. Is Jenny McCarthy now a presidential advisor?

And rnmaybe-for shame. You don't have an intelligent thing to say. If you are really a nurse, you should be outraged or at least willing to support science and evidence based practice. Instead you continue with the snark, and your blind worship of an ignorant man.

Pharmacy is big money in the USA, by requiring shots works just fine for Pharmacy companies.

I can leave the USA and purchase US brand medicine for a fraction of a cost I have to pay in the USA.

Medicine costs are out of control here. You'll get no argument from me. That does not negate the fact that vaccines do not cause autism and the charlatan in charge can do immense damage by promoting that old fallacy.

I don't know about that. I grew up with a bunch of kids who had arms about 18 inches long, it was from medicines the mom took during pregnancy. Now of days you don't see those kids. I was born in the mid 60's

Oh please....I have a hard time believing that. You don't keep taking the same medications once you have a child with a birth defect. I call shenanigans.

So now we are going to conflate the birth defects caused by thalidomide with vaccines?

These posters cannot possibly be nurses.

Time to dust off the ignore feature rather than waste time reading drivel.

The point of the article about Thalidomide that the trumpkin posted is about the importance of FDA regulation & testing--the very thing Trump wants to get rid of.

So markperry, if trump follows through with his plans for the FDA maybe you'll get to see more kids with 18" arms. That should go a long way to make America great shouldn't it??
