G'day Davey .... in Oz we write the date as: 17/01/2017.

Thanks for the G'day's yesterday folks.... nice to see familiar "faces"

It's hot hot hot here today.... 40Celsius!! ... well, it is our summer afterall!

The TOUR DOWN UNDER (bike race) completed stage 1 today in this dreadful heat....how no-one melted off their bikes is a miracle!

Glad you received my email, Steph!
Nah....you didn't reply .... well, not that I recall anyway! ... then again, the ol' mind's been in a bit of a fog on and off for awhile!! .... Nervermind, I don't get hung-up on things like that. Just so long as you and the family are all well is what matters.

Tweety.... that invite still stands, the guest room is ready! I recommend Spring for a vist....countryside is gorgeous then and not so hot hot hot!!

Dianah ....you "serenaded" me over Christmas... listened to "Nearer" and "Washed" ....Lovely!... Hope the mail reached you!

I've missed so much being AWOL from AN....it's nice to be touching base again!

    Be safe and well everyone!
    Cheers,
    Grace

Hi Davey and Grace. Coming on evening here after a day fixing an engine. I am going back to school to do a Cert in Mental Health. This is a big issue here in the lonely outback so hopefully being a bushie myself, maybe I can make a difference.
My last stay in hospital has revealed that my Pancreas id failing so I am on meds. My BSL is also elevating. Nothing that cannot be overcome. Still having a lot of problems with my twice broken back. Going to go onto Fentanyl patches next week. The chronic pain is getting debilitating. Other than that, I'm all good. Time for dinner.
    Peace to all. Hooroo

    G'day!

    Hi Davie

Michael, sorry about the chronic pain. Hope you get some relief. Hope the medications kick in for you.

Grace! So glad to see you back mate. Don't be a stranger. I'm going to make it to Australia one of these days, as I work on my bucket list of travel destinations. 40 degrees is indeed hot..but kind of like our "feels like" temps in the summer. I traveled to SE Asia (where i met some very nice Aussies) and it was that hot in Cambodia...whew....so while I don't mind, I will probably pick a better time to come. Just have to remember your spring is our autumn.

It's the usual "mop the floor Tuesday", so I'd best get started. Then going to cook. I have a recipe for a "spicy numbing stir-fry pot" that I think is a Schezuapn recipe, which is notoriously a spicy region of China. I might have to eliminate some of the "numbing" aspect of it.

Michael hope the Fentanyl patches provide some relief

    Morning Grace Davey Tweety

Rather quiet day yesterday, cleaned the oven, did laundry, and vacuumed. Didn't get outside as it rained all day. Had my final visit with the counselor, glad of the progress made (and that I'm done paying for sessions)

Back to work today, hopefully things won't be bad, they were settling down on Friday

Will try to get outside for a walk, haven't been exercising as i was sick so long. Want to build up activity slowly. Also need to register for a furry convention for next month and find a room (and get a day off)

And tomorrow is my usual date with J

Going to be quite warm this week, above 40 every day

    Good morning

Grace-it's so nice to have you back! I hope all is well with you. Michael-I hope the fentanyl helps your pain. That's wonderful about you going back to school. I'm sure your new skills will be welcomed. Hey Tweety and Davey!

Off to work in a bit. We had a lot of no-shows yesterday, so I got caught up on some journal reading. This is our "slow" season. Things will pick up again in the Spring.

Hope all have a good day!

    Good Morning!

    Love the cartooning, Davey Do!

Good to see you posting here, Grace Oz.

Hope those Fentanyl patches work for you, Michael.

Hi siri! Good to see you out of "administrator mode" and posting as a "regular member". LOL!

Good to see you all. . .

Nothing much going on. Still have the yucky-crud. Been in my studio either posting on the internet or working on music. Glad that I have another night off from work so that I can sneeze and cough with sweet abandon. LOL! Hopefully I'll be feeling better to return to work tomorrow night.

    Keep well, folks!

    Morning,
Had a relaxing day yesterday, dh went to work and I got some of that coveted alone time. Took my dog, Angus, to the softball fields and let him run off lead. Met my friend and her terrier pup and we chatted while the dogs frolicked. They spooked a couple of herons. Man, those birds have an incredible wing span; so cool to watch them lift off.

Back to work today, and more orientation. Shadowing and visiting a trailer that the health department uses for potential disasters, and then some online training for immunizations. After work, taking the grandsons to hockey lessons.

It may get all the way up to 50 degrees, and expecting wind gusts to 50, and lots of rain. Pineapple express heading our way.

Those who are ailing, take care.

Wishing you all the best of days,

    j

Just as I was posting a reply to you on another thread, nursejj, I fell into a kind of parallel universe and found myself in a place I have never been. Then, all of the sudden, a message came on my screen that said something along the lines of my post needing to first be approved!

Well, I got out of there as fast as my little legs would carry me and came to the Breakroom, anxious and out of breath.

    Whew!

Anyway, I brought the post with me:

Davey, you have such a wonderful outlook, thank you!
And thank you, nursejj. I've worked very hard to become so.

BTW: You're not living up to your goal of being "a royal pain in the tuchus"!
