This story presents a good look at how China is handling "reopening."

Compare and contrast to what is happening here, and how many states are reopening, without following WH guidelines.

Do we know why Pence is not in self-quarantine?

Folks with less exposure than Pence, are in self-quarantine. Why isn't he?

I think it's because he's being tested every day and everyone that is in contact with him as to be tested as well.  Not sure if his personal contacts are tested every day though.

A second minor in KY, a 16-year-old, is suffering from the inflammatory disease we read about in kids in NY.

The first here, is that 10-year-old on a ventilator.

The 16-year-old isn't on a ventilator, but is hospitalized.

Read about armed militia members, aka Trumpsters, dressed in Trumpster attire, in MI helping a barber to illegally open his shop.

Story is in WaPo.

These armed Trumpsters are out of control. Someone is going to get hurt.

There is much we need to learn before we can predict this virus.

Sailors on sidelined USS Roosevelt infected with the coronavirus for second time

Five sailors on the U.S. aircraft carrier sidelined in Guam due to a COVID-19 outbreak have tested positive for the virus for the second time and have been taken off the ship, according to the Navy...

...   All five sailors had previously tested positive and had gone through at least two weeks of isolation. As part of the process, they all had to test negative twice in a row, with the tests separated by at least a day or two before they were allowed to go back to the ship...

Yes. We would naturally suspect that the tests were unreliable, but lack of significant immunity after infection must be explored and ruled out.

Did you watch the whistleblower testimony in the House the other day? Chilling.

Maddow said last night that this is a bad time for bad leadership.  That's an understatement.

Trump still confident in Abbott Labs’ rapid COVID-19 test despite false negatives

‘Abbott is a great test; it’s a very quick test,’ the president said a day after the FDA said it’s investigating preliminary data suggesting the test can falsely clear infected patients...

My husband is scheduled for same day surgery in a couple weeks. Monday he will have his pre-op clearance exam. The info sent states that he will first have the Abbot 3 minute test. If it is negative he will have to take the PCR test because the ABBOT has frequent false negative results, but not false positives.

Sometime a good social and political commentary comes in a song parody. This is very clever, very funny, and for some parts of the country (and world), still on point. Enjoy! 😄

1200 new cases yesterday.  I think it's highest since reopening.  Deaths are not rising...yet.  apparently they botched 35,000 tests.  Only in Florida
