Am I understanding her correctly? She thinks we should all be required to buy medical insurance? Doesn't she realize that some of us can't AFFORD to buy even the group insurance offered by our employers???:o:uhoh3::nono::uhoh21: And that so many people can't buy it on their own because of cost and because pre-existing conditions are excluded for a couple of years? Please tell me I misunderstood what she said.

i think that this is the basis of most of the candidates

if you don't put in you don't get the care, if you have a catastropic illness/accident then you will have to pay that on your own

i have no idea how much the cost is expected to be, hard to pin anyone down

A mandate to purchase comes with subsidized premiums. IT would be better to allow people to choose to enroll in the plans such as Minnesota Care that have sliding scale premium coverage.
