Noticed that we like to talk about our cats a lot? I'm devoting a whole thread to it!

Here are my furrbabies: Rosie

Rosie enjoys her sheepskin rug, my bath robe and sleeping to the left side of my head. She's 9 years old and I got her at the humaine society when she was rescued while pregant (the kittens all wound homes too). She likes to chase and throw the thick elastics that come wrapped around broccoli at the grocery store.

Rufus:

He's obsessed with paintbrushes and makeup brushes and really really loves to sneak attack rosie. He's 8 years old and I also got him at the humaine society. He likes high places and roasted chicken. He's very vain about his long and fluffy tail.

This is Ruf when he was a kitten. He used to like to steal the knitting needles away from my grandmother while she was trying to knit.

RMBnAZ:

I am so sorry. You must miss her.

These are Minh and Cindy (full name Cinderella)

Minh died about two years ago. My daughter found her at the food dish.

Those two used to chase each other. They sounded like horses in the house.

Now Cindy is spoiled. She is always in a lap. She sleeps with one of us. I've woken up with her licking my hair.

We got Cindy when she was two in 1996.

Minh was a stray who clearly had a loving home at one time. She liked people especially those who fed her.

This is "Possum", my 2-1/2-year-old furbaby who I adopted from our local humane society at six weeks of age just after I lost my precious "Pee Wee" to feline megacolon.

I have another 21-year-old tabby cat named "Tiger" who showed up as a stray at my parents' house only two days after one of my cats had died.

I have pictures of him, but the files are too large for me to upload. =(

And this is Rusty!

I've also had two pairs of rats but I will take pity on those with rodent-phobias!

I love this thread.........MEOW!!

Can't post any piccy's, but I can tell you about my five furbabies: Johnny and Missy, whom I delivered by hand after the first two kittens in their litter were stillborn and who are almost 12 years old now. He's white and 'apricot'-colored, and she's a long-haired Siamese, both with brilliant blue eyes. Next is Kaitlyn Marie, who's all black and 8 1/2 years old; then there's RoseMaryKitten, Rosie for short, who's a six-year-old grey tabby, and finally there's Cassandra Lynn, ("Casi") a 3-year-old calico kitty whose mother was run over by a car when she was 2 weeks old. We hand-fed her with a tiny bottle every 2 hours for the first 2 weeks, taught her how to use the litter box, and otherwise brought her up like her mother would have if she'd lived long enough.

The funny thing is, Casi has got more personality in her right front paw than most cats do in their whole bodies---if there's any trouble going on anywhere in the house, you can bet she's right in the middle of it!:chuckle She chases laser light beams and the reflection of passing car lights on the walls. She prances on the curtain valance. She steals my hair elastics out of the bathroom, stashes them under the dresser, then fishes them out and plays with them in the middle of the night. She hides under the bed and pats our feet with her paws as we walk by. She plays in the water dish. She is, in a word, crazy! But she keeps our other cats young by encouraging/forcing them to play, even though they often smack her when she jumps on them as they emerge from the litter box.:D
