There's a great series starting again tonight on PBS called "Call the Midwife". I love it. It's set in the 60's in England. The nurses are nuns and they ride around on bikes. Very good show with good actors. Just wanted to mention it.

One of my fave shows ever! The entire series is on Netflix. Did a new season just start?

I continue to be bummed out that Miranda Hart (Chummy) is so busy that she can no longer appear on this show.

Agreed! Chummy has always been my favorite. I've been able to relate to her professional clumsiness many times as a relatively new midwife, and have been so sad since her character left. The show is great though.

I love this show! I've also read all the books, which are also excellent. I highly recommend this show.

My mom (also a RN) got me hooked on this show; I love it. And I also love that they address a lot of the issues nurses had to deal with in that time.

Loved the episode where they cured morning sickness and announced their new magic drug: "Thalidomide!" I felt a little stab of horror and of course the next season dealt with the unfortunate sequelae.
