My kids were in Jr. High when I took them and their friends to "Smokey and the Bandit" movies.

Boring for me. Fun for 12, 13, and 14 year olds.

He had a fun humor on talk shows.

That banjo music melody theme from Deliverance is iconic.

Died of an MI I heard this morning.

My mom used to like him on Gunsmoke, but I barely remember that. I remember all the scandal about him dating Dinah Shore, and then that centerfold!

I liked his sense of humor and his expressive eyes. And that voice. Rest in peace.

I saw the appearance of Burt Reynolds on the Tonight Show -- where he shaved off HALF if his mustache and finished the show that way. I thought Johnny Carson was going to wet his pants, he was laughing so hard.

I enjoyed the silliness of the Smokey and the Bandit, and Stroker Ace, and oh, naturally I can't recall the name of the last one that I really liked. Those movies just took me out of my life and my head for a while, and made me smile at his nonchalance, he was kind of cool; He was charismatic and genuinely funny, yes with the twinkle in his eyes. But, ya know what I liked most of all?

I think the very best thing about Burt Reynolds was that he had the BEST laugh!

Burt was the first male centerfold in Cosmopolitan mag or playgirl mag,Gorgeous but I remember the nasty critical remarks by those so jealous of his good looks.Going to miss him .The movie with Dom Deluise was so funny .RIP Burt.

A hilarious absolutely hysterical movie is "The End" where Burt as the main character receives a terminal diagnosis but rather than let nature or medicine take their course he hires a crazy obsessive hit man portrayed by Dom Deluise?-- who he can't seem to call off...

Anyway I recall LOL funny...but who knows anymore!!!???

Another was with Jill Clayburgh called "Starting Over" and Candace Bergen another funny classic chick-flick I loved.
