Bad experience at the pet cemetary

Last visit of Memorial day was to the pet cemetary where my beloved three previous dogs lay to rest. We took along our current dog (our baby) for the first time.

She gets out of the car and absolutely freaks out! She tries to run back to the car-pulling on her leash and her eyes were absolutely terrified. She was panting so hard I was afraid she was going to have a heart attack. We were the only people there at the time. We cut our visit very short.

Interestingly- Years back I took my third dog to the cemetary to visit my girl dog- his best friend. We had purchased a plot for him next to hers. He got out of the car and walked directly to her grave and sat down on his grave right next to her. He was calm and unafraid. It was very unsettling at the time. It was as if he knew.

Hmmm, I wonder if there was a doggy ghost chasing him out, cuz it's not his time yet. Did he know any of your previous dogs? I have ALWAYS wished I could REALLY know what animals see, and what they think. . .

Sounds like the old sense of smell at it again

Some canines can pick up a scent for 4 miles, and they most surely are used for death investigation and finding the deceased, I can imagine they can smell the remains
