She's passed the Falklands and is in the Atlantic Ocean heading towards Cape of Good Hope - Africa.

From there it's onto the Indian Ocean and HOMEWARDS! :)

You can follow her progress on her site ... http://www.jessicawatson.com.au/

I'm hoping to be able to go to Sydney for the homecoming. It'll be something else! :)

gracie, when is jess expected home?

i am amazed that a 16 yo is taking this journey alone.

anyone taking this type of journey, would be subject to all sorts of risks...

but a teenager??

it boggles my mind.

just, wow.

Hi Leslie,

Jess is expected home in May, all going well.

There was a lot of criticism from some quarters about allowing one so young to sail solo around the world.

I agree with Jess's Dad, Roger, it'd be a far worse thing to deny her this opportunity and stifle her courage and desire to achieve.

What she's undertaking is HUGE by any measure.

I'm right behind her and support her 100% in attempting to live her life as fully as possible and achieve her goal.

She's certainly inspiring others worldwide, and in a world so badly in need of something to inspire, motivate, uplift and bring sheer joy, Jess is certainly doing that. :)

More and more people are joining her blogging "family" every day! :)

Come and join us! :) .................. http://www.jessicawatson.com.au/

Cheers! :)

Only 16? Truly amazing. :)
