Glenn Beck returns to Fox News Channel on Monday after a vacation with fewer companies willing to advertise on his show than when he left, part of the fallout from calling President Barack Obama a racist.

A total of 33 Fox advertisers, including Wal-Mart Stores Inc., CVS Caremark, Clorox and Sprint, directed that their commercials not air on Beck's show, according to the companies and ColorofChange.org, a group that promotes political action among blacks and launched a campaign to get advertisers to abandon him. That's more than a dozen more than were identified a week ago.

While it's unclear what effect, if any, this will ultimately have on Fox and Beck, it is already making advertisers skittish about hawking their wares within the most opinionated cable TV shows.

Regardless of your personal opinions on his job performance, the President is not racist against white people. I also feel that anyone who believes a statement so delusional might be in need of some professional help.

He is biracial (black and white). In addition, it is clear that he very much loved his mother and grandparents, who all happen to be white.

Sorry, but Beck's statement is the equivalent of monkey-poop.

That's the same reason why I get a little weary at hearing the words "First Black President". He's not. He's our first bi-racial president. He doesn't represent one color or another. He is just a human being trying to do a job, just like the rest of us working slobs...

only, I wouldn't want his job for any amount of money thrown my way. No way.

As is everything that falls from this individuals mouth. If you've ever watched his show it reminds me of rantings from a drunk guy in a bar at 2am.

You don't get to classify the president.

He personally claims he is African American.

And his paternal grandparents were not white.

Didn't he love them, too?

Ummmm, he IS African-American. His father was from Kenya.

As is my colleague's daughter. Her father is from South Africa and is white. She is African-American as well, in the strictest sense of the word. Nothing to do with race at all.

Beck is an opportunist who exploits the fears of our populace, nothing more. Much of his "wisdom" I find very condescending and distasteful.
