Arrogance

I seldom have seen so much arrogance expressed with one single word. A lonely "So" is all the Vice President had for over 2/3 of the American people who disagree with the Iraq War. HELLO is anyone home Mr C. ?

While I agree that polls should not change the directions of policy on a daily basis, one would have to agree that the people of our country have been dissatisfied with this disaster of a war since many polls now. But I doubt that the Vice President gets it or cares either one.

Of all the dumb things that G.W. Bush did, and that would be a long list, putting this man in the Vice President position was one of the dumbest. Does this man realize that the "So" does not only offend those of us who did not vote for him, like myself, but a large number of the people who put his running mate into office? Maybe someone needs to remind them that once an opinion or poll remains the same way for a looooooong time, maybe it is a direct reflection of the wish of the people to bring about a change.

Or perhaps someone should remind him that the executive branch of the government represents the people and should act in their interest and with their approval. After all they were put into office as President and Vice President and not as King and Prince.

I posted the Youtube video of this smug man and his "so?" Infuriating and unbelievable that he has the gall. How many mothers, fathers and wives of grieving military members liked hearing that smug "so?" He needs to be impeached with Bush right behind him. I actually heard that there are plans to reintroduce this after the election in November.I will try to find a link to this.

Even when I liked Bush a lot better, I still never cared for Cheney.

Actually, I like the honest answer because I don't have to listen to any crapola. This administration hasn't really cared what the public has thought about the war. They go about their business anyway.

Gotta give the man his probs for telling it like it is in a year when he's going to retire anway. What does he care what we think.

I think that an honest answer would have included some kind of statement other than the "So". Sorry but "So" is nothing more then a blatant disregard for the American people.

And the fact that he does not care is exactly the point that I was making.

Well, soon we should should have a much more caring Vice President. Not sure who I would like to see in which position but a Clinton/Obama ticket either way around would work for me.

And while I would not consider voting for McCain, even he would be a hundred times better then the disaster that is in the white house now. May Mr Chaney retire soon and enjoy his retirement. Perhaps he should avoid hunting and try fishing or golf insted.:wink2:

Please don't think that because of my post that I think the he has any regard for the American people whatsoever, he doesn't.

Yes, he should avoid places with guns. :lol2:

I don't trust or like Bush, but Cheney is pure evil IMHO. In seven years I've never seen anything but sheer meanness in his beady little eyes, and his callous disregard and contempt for John Q. Public shows in everything he does. Now that it's near the end of the line for him and Bush, I think he's past the point of even trying to keep up appearances anymore, and that's where that "So?" came from.

Good riddance, I say. I can hardly wait for the next 10 months to fly by, no matter who winds up winning the WH this November. Not only will I be celebrating my 50th birthday next January, I'll be celebrating the last full day of Bush/Cheney's term. YIPPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!:yeah:

OMG! Another arrogant answer about the now 4000 troops killed in Iraq. What a *^%@#!%. Sounds like he regrets the deaths only because they might affect Americans psychologically.

News from the Middle East logo_afp.gif spacer.gif spacer.gif spacer.gif spacer.gif 24/03/2008 08:18 JERUSALEM, March 24 (AFP) Cheney regrets 'every casualty' in Iraq

US Vice President Dick Cheney on Monday said he regrets every US casualty in Iraq, after the American death toll in the five-year conflict reached 4,000.

"You regret every casualty, every loss. It may have a psychological effect on the public but it's a tragedy that we live in a kind of world where that happens," Cheney said in Israel, the latest stop on a nine-day regional tour.

The death toll of US soldiers in the Iraq conflict reached 4,000 after four troops were killed in a Baghdad bombing.

Well, speaking of arrogance, don't forget how he became VP in the first place -- the Shrub campaign asked him to help the campaign by reviewing all the potential VP candidates and making a recommendation about who would be the best choice; he carefully examined all the people suggested by the campaign and concluded that HE would make the best VP ...

I think McCain should have to apologize for this vitriolic and devisive statement made by Cheney. After all, he has not denounced Cheney yet, and of course he's guilty of association, just like Obama/Wright. :D

Just kidding, of course.
