As if the current violence everywhere ANTIFA goes is not enough, they are now planning for nationwide protests to oust Trump/Pence.

ANTIFA Plan Nationwide Riots On Nov. 4th To Forcibly Remove Trump

Granted, this is not from CNN or Fox but I followed the links in the article to a couple of sites. It does look like they want to cause major civil disturbances to effect a coup.

I participated in several healthcare demonstrations/rallys in Oakland, CA in recent years. Groups of people dressed in black with hoods or helmets came up from the BART (subway). They brought rocks and bottles and began throwing them to break store windows. They set fires in trash cans. Then in less than five minutes would disappear on trains.

After they were gone police in riot gear would declare the protest illegal.

Troublemakers for sure, but maybe not Antifa.

I am all for peaceful civil disobedience for a good cause. I think ousting Trump and Pence is a good cause, as their administration is incompetent, racist, and has no regard for the American people.

I don't think Antifa is the big problem. They don't show up armed to the teeth, proclaiming that they'll kill anyone who gets in their way. The current administration is a far bigger problem.

Peaceful protest is a good thing. I don't condone violence.

The folks you described Herring, dressed in black and breaking store windows, I believe they are anarchists. They routinely show-up at G8 meetings and they made their presence known at the 2017 inauguration. You're right, they aren't Antifa.

There have been nationwide protests against Trump/Pence ever since Jan. 20, 2017. They happen all the time, everywhere.

I think it would be nearly impossible for Antifa, or any other group to effect a coup. That would require the help of the military, and I don't see that happening. Personally, I believe Trump is anti-American, and again, he is a blight that needs to be eradicated. And again, I don't care how that happens.

But the best way to be rid of him, is via Congress or the court system.

Antifa doesn't cause me any worry. But I do become concerned when I see Neo-Nazis. White Nationalists, idiots, whatever you want to call them, outfitted in camo and carrying AR-15s and ammunition.

Az- I read the article & followed one of the links and read carefully to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I did watch a video a reporter made behind the scenes with an Antifa group that does believe violence works. Their rationale is that the only thing violent 'facists' (neo nazis, white supremacists, alt right) understand is violence. To me, that makes them just as bad as those they're fighting- no matter their cause. And it's wrong.

However- I think the issue is the alt right is labeling anyone that doesn't agree with them 'antifa' and claiming they are the problem & it's not accurate. That is what trump did in his 1st statement re Charlottesville & why it was so offensive. It's also given the alt right/nazis/etc & their defenders their narrative.

Yesterday on twitter 3 people- 2 random folks & tomi lahren- tweeted pictures they claimed were of antifa from Boston rally and saying how much worse they are than alt right. Tomi's was of a person holding a sign about killing cops & she said something defending trump- see why he said left is as bad, like that. But all 3 pictures were shown to be taken from other places. 1 from a Dover protest, 1 from Occupy Wall Street & Tomi's from the Baltimore riots.

When the alt right/nazis are organizing a rally, they share info on what weapons are best. There's one on twitter today someone screenshotted from Gab (I don't even know what that is but have read that's a gathering place for them now) about an upcoming event in FL. They're talking about buying guns at a gun show, having concealed carry permits, etc. They talk about using push pins to put American flags on a good sized stick so it's easy to remove flag without damaging it & using the stick to fight.

That's what I read the Antifa article closely for. Any indication/intimation of physical violence. I didn't see any.

You probably won't agree with me, but I feel that trump being elected has emboldened many of these people. And when bannon, miller & gorka were given high level positions in the WH, it was a subtle nod to these groups that their beliefs were, if not shared, by a sitting president then certainly more than tolerated. And they've taken their cue & run with it.

I am anti fascist.

It is a requirement for a patriot.

I am also anti-fascist. I also believe actions speak louder than words.

ANTIFAs actions have been to violently shutdown anyone with a different opinion. They have succeeded in shutting down several invited speakers in Berkeley. They've use violence and threat of violence to shut down rallies. They tend to disguise themselves and carry makeshift weapons such as boards, rocks, baseball bats, pepper spray, and bike locks. In many cases they use these. They are using fascist tactics. The shoe fits.

I understand that far right groups arm themselves with guns. BTW, there is a leftist group here in Phoenix doing the same thing. However, have you heard of a single round fired at a protest? I haven't and I'm pretty sure the media would be on that like a chicken on a June bug.

Apparently the right wing weapon of choice is a car.

Again, I don't condone violence of any kind. But I have yet to hear any members of Antifa talk about wiping any particular race or religion off the face of the earth.

My father used violence at Normandy and in Belgium against people not unlike those who marched and murdered a young woman in Charlottesville. I guess he was a member of Antifa.

Yes, the White Nationalists have more in common with ISIS than they than want to admit. Their share a weapon of choice: vehicles.

It is foolish to think that you can show up to a hate demonstration armed with lit torches, AR-15s, flag poles and knives and NOT meet violent resistance. Are White Nationalists really that stupid? Maybe.

That is why it is so important to have rational gun laws. You didn't see the weapons in Boston because of MA guns laws, and the fact that BPD said no. But VA has relatively lax gun laws and a police department that had no plan.

Saying Antifa is this or that as compared to neonazis, white supremacists or nationalists, or the KKK, is intellectually dishonest. There simply is no evidence that they are the same or just as dangerous. There is no real equivalence.

In my view, sharing the narrative designed by the racists to deflect concern away from the racists by pointing fingers at others, makes that person an instrument of the hate group. An outsider who is willing to spread their narrative is a real gift.
