Advice for Geriatric nutrition

  1. Ok so I think that I'am a competent LPN. But right now I need some advice from my brothers and sister from around the world. They have just given up. I have tried many methods to communicate with them with no avail.

So right now, Im concerned with lack of nutrition (My folks live 100 KM away or I would be there daily). I would love to buy nice freh fruits and vegetables for them but because of their advanced age they dont find these foods appealing.

Can anybody recommend nutritional dense meals ( and no they wont drink boost either), preferably frozen, that they have clinical success with.

It is hard to see our parents get older. My prayers for you and your family!

As Ashley said.......We cannot offer medical advice as per the Terms of Service. I am not a nutritionist but I would ask your parents primary care provider for suggestion or have a dietician evaluate them. Food choices will also vary in availability by where you live. I would think anything that is high in protein and fats.

This is an American based resource but it may help.
