Thank you, herring. I've been following the Russian connection, along with Trump's domestic business corruption, since early on in the republican primary.

I've even tried to discuss here, but the subject invariably got buried by Bannon brigade snark and the resulting arguments over trivia, tit-for-tat and false equivalencies. They will be back ...

Thank you for the Sessions timeline. I was able to show my husband the 'facts' he got from fox news weren't quite accurate

There is more to the Russia connection than just a few individuals. Trump said in 2013 that he had a relationship with Putin.

http://

Yes, that was another alternative fact I had to correct for the husband.

Ok, someone help me out. I don't watch fox- and not going to start! ( Actually I don't watch any TV news. I read it online) Does fox just not report any negative trump stuff? Do they whitewash it? Do they say "those awful liberals will tell you our wonderful president lies but don't you believe them!!"

This whole thing is surreal! People that seem rational, thinking human beings say the most ludicrous things in blind support of trump. It's like a portion of the US has been brainwashed!

Ok, mini rant over, have to ready for work! Still, would like to know about fox...

I would recommend that you watch Fox at least occasionally, Trump gets some of his detail and speech ideas from a couple of their shows. Similarly, it is helpful to peruse the current rants available on Infowars and talk radio, you will be able to identify some of the crazy rhetoric that you hear from regular people. Trump clearly likes Alex Jones brand of "news" reporting.

It is difficult but helpful to do a quick read of the compiled and unsourced propaganda on Breitbart.

I also don't watch TV.

I do download and access all manner of content including right wing media. You have to be careful though, some of those conservative websites light my spamware and malware software up like it's 4th of July.

I wasn't able to get the link to work regarding the 2013 interview with Trump and his relationship with Putin.

Here is what I hope to be a working link . . .

this was an excerpt from the same interview from a different media outlet.

Thank you.

so which story/lie do we believe about Trump and Putin?

There are at least two provided by Trump himself.

I'll say it again....If he did nothing wrong, he should welcome an investigation to clear his name. Methinks he has a lot to hide.....

I'm kinda getting a kick out of Sessions announcing that he is recusing himself from the investigation into---him. Trump didn't even think it was necessary for the person being investigated to remove himself from heading the investigation. Incompetent at every level.

Trump had "complete confidence" in Flynn up until he announced Flynn's resignation. And then he announced he had fired him. Whatever. So now Trump has "complete confidence" in Sessions. Anyone else's head spinning on just how fast we get in cabinet members and boot them out again?

When Trump is in charge of his business affairs he has to report to no one (ultimately, anyway), he does what he wants and shuts down any and all questions (which sometimes leads to his bankruptcies, but I digress). NOW he has to answer questions from the average reporter and it BURNS him to no end, he still behaves as though he is accountable to no one, remarkable though that may be. It's ok to be arrogant when you own the company and get the final word. Not ok to behave in the same manner with MY COUNTRY, thank you.

Ok. I had previously looked at Infowars, but went back & looked over it again. It makes my brain hurt. The idea that there are people that believe that drivel is frightening to me.

Never had looked at Breitbart, so gave that a look as well. Scary in a different way. The articles are one thing- I suppose most non-liberals would think about Huffpost what I think about Breitbart. But the comments at the end of the articles!! People are genuinely brainwashed & unhinged! It's like a cult or something. Geez.

I haven't managed to watch fox- don't know if I can stomach it. They play way too many clips of trump talking & I avoid that like the plague- his voice make me queasy. Maybe I'll read them online...

But, I guess my question is answered, even if I don't like the answer, I'd rather be armed with the facts!
