I think he is really cool and really brave. If he'd died, goodness knows he'd have died doing what he loved! A bajillion cool points to him for taking the risk even if people thought he was a fool.
A nice meme that popped up in my facebook feed this AM is a pic of him in his spacesuit and it reads, "I don't always skydive, but when I do it's at 700mph from the edge of space." LOL
