Let's Set Goals!

  1. This week, I plan to increase my treadmill activity to 25 minutes. I left early and walked 1 mile, then did 1.25 miles on the treadmill this evening. I am going to try and get up earlier to use the treadmill in the morning as well, even if it is for 10 minutes. Still trying to get the food thing together, but am working on it! I may not be able to do anything tomorrow evening because I am working in the clinic 11:30-8pm, but will have time to do the treadmill in the morning.

By this weekend, I plan to either increase the speed on the treadmill or start using the incline feature. My sketcher walking shoe will be in this week, so, I'll see if they increase the tone in my legs. I will do no less than 5 days of work out this week. Come on, losers! What commitments do you want to post?

    Good work, VivaLasVegas!
Tweety, you ain't old, you are wine improving in age!

Cheer on, everyone! We're gonna do this!

I kid you not, I started to type my goals for the week but I got tired of typing it. That doesn't bode well for me......

My goal for the day is to go to the gym after work, do 40 minutes of aerobics and weights. I hope to eat lightly and vegan until I go out with friends on Friday night.

My goal for the week is to "unplug"! I am working summer school which is 8-noon. Nice, right? But so far, I have gone home, eaten a healthy lunch, then plopped my rear down in front of the computer or tv and vegged out until either hubby gets home or it gets cool enough to go outside (ridiculously hot here).

So, today I am going to go straight from work to the grocery store and walk every isle, whether I need to or not (hey, every step counts, right?). Then I will go home and have my healthy lunch, followed by a trip to the library (not exercise, I know, but it has to be better than sitting on my duff).

Tomorrow I have nowhere to go, but I will CLEAN my house after lunch! Woohoo!

Friday I dunno. Gotta think on that some. I am just tired of feeling like a bum! I need to go sign up at the community rec center so I can get on a treadmill or something when it is hotter than hades outside.

Thank you for this thread, I needed the motivation to so something productive other than web surfing with my summer!

My goal for the rest of this week is to increase the distance I am walking. I started out walking around the block a couple times per day after surgery and have worked up to a mile per day. I am gonna walk two miles tomorrow, if whether permits.

Good luck with your goals, everyone! I didn't get on yesterday morning as I anticipated because I stayed up late, then, slept late. Nothing yesterday evening, either, but it was Hubby's birthday, so, actually, I cheated a bit (that's okay-will be on the bandwagon today).

It is raining cats and dogs out here today, but the treadmill is dry in my basement. No excuse to avoid it one more day!

Been wondering if I wanted to actually state a goal (LOL, does that mean I have to stick to it??) I want to ideally lose 10 pounds. I might be able to do it by the end of August if I could just keep from snacking! Also, been having large portions with guests in town... Wow, I say to myself as I get more on my plate. Isn't it funny how you do that? Boy are you a pig!...oh well... spoons some more on her plate. I do think that Lean Cusine is the way to go - forced smaller portions.

Laughed after I went walking... came home... plopped down on the carpet to stretch, bent over my legs like I'd normally do spread eagle, and found out how tight those pants have gotten!

I just want to drop positive thoughts to motivate each other. I know I missed two days, some of us may have fallen a bit short, but it takes time to create a habit. Don't criticize yourselves, something is better than nothing. If you feel short on your goals, don't feel bad to the point that you totally stop. Think about how much more you did do than before.

    Keep it up, losers!

My only goal is to lose 10 lbs by the end of July. But that is as far as I got. I have no exercise plan or anything.
That same goal was for June but I only lost 3. Then gained it back when it was that time of the month.

This also does not bode well for me.

My goal this week is to restart the Couch to 5k. I did it last year and really liked it. I'd like to lose about 15lbs. by the end of August. I couldn't believe how good I felt running! What's amazing is that my lungs could hardly take the minute of running in the beginning! Then to make it to 27 min. straight was awesome! I even got that "high" a few times. If you can tell, I'm new to working out consistently.lol Hope to hear how everyone is doing on their goals.

I'm down a total of 50 lbs. I feel wonderful, have more energy than before. I'm still wearing my size 28 jean capries but they sag so much I've given in and am going to buy a pair a size smaller.
