Will the federal attitude toward Wall Street evolve?

Senator Warren asked good questions. They didn't want to answer.

This women is one of the biggest hyppocrites and frauds in the Senate. First off she flat out lied about her phony Native American heritage to get lucrative faculty positions and promotions at universities. She has been accused of plagiarism with her book Pow Wow Chow. She also represented corporate interests as a lawyer that were trying to screw the little guy.

But it turns out that they are still going on, if more quietly, through the back door. ..Here’s the skinny: Late last Wednesday, the New York Fed said in a court filing that in July it had released Bank of America from all legal claims arising from losses in some mortgage-backed securities the Fed received when the government bailed out the American International Group in 2008. One surprise in the filing, which was part of a case brought by A.I.G., was that the New York Fed let Bank of America off the hook even as A.I.G. was seeking to recover $7 billion in losses on those very mortgage securities. It gets better.
What did the New York Fed get from Bank of America in this settlement? Some $43 million, it seems, from a small dispute the New York Fed had with the bank on two of the mortgage securities. At the same time, and for no compensation, it released Bank of America from all other legal claims. .....In an interview, Senator Sherrod Brown, Democrat of Ohio, who serves on the Banking Committee, said the New York Fed’s behavior in this case “underscores that the more we learn about these bailouts, gifts and advantages that Wall Street gets, the clearer it becomes that one set of rules applies to the largest megabanks and another set of rules to the smaller financial institutions and the rest of the country.”

Ms. Warren is the only person to take on this subject so far. Now more comes to light. Sen. Brown has been active also.

Its a FACT that Elizabeth Warren Claims to be a Cherokee. It is a FACT that other than claiming high cheek bones she cannot show any proof of those claims. It is a FACT that Elizabeth Warren took a slot from a true minority by lying about her ancestry. It is a FACT that her cookbook Pow Wow Chow used recipes that were word for word from other chefs. It is a FACT that Elizabeth Warren wrote a U.S. Supreme Court petition in the 1990s. LTV was reportedly crusading against a Congressional requirement that it pay millions for retirees' health care. It is a FACT that Warren represented Travelers Insurance in its Supreme Court quest to gain immunity from asbestos claims in exchange for creating a fund for victims. So you can claim they are all opinions but you cannot refute any of the above the FACTS.
