Holy mackerel. No wonder we middle-class folks are treading water at best, and drowning at worst.

Yes, we're paying for all those poor entitled lazy workers making $3000 a year living high on the hog, and giving all kinds of entitlements to big business corporate welfare and the Mitt Romney's of the world. When are we going to say "I'm mad as hell and not going to take it anymore"

I should just quit and make some babies and go on the public teat...I'd lose my house and car, but I bet I could get free housing somewhere and a free bus pass. Meanwhile you stupid working people can support me and big corporations.

About $59 billion is spent on traditional social welfare programs. $92 billion is spent on corporate subsidies. So, the government spent 50% more on corporate welfare than it did on food stamps and housing assistance in 2006

Tweety, you are silly. You can't make babies, you're a boy! Lol. But your thinking is correct. Just think about all the government benefits you could get IF you could make a bunch of babies.

The article got me thinking about things.

that's good because poverty is a real issue, just look at the stats...especially since 2008 when millions were added to the unemployment line. the burden on the working middle class is enormous. in times when the government spending is skyrocketing and revenues are decreasing due to unemployment and poverty, we do have to look at entitlements and resources......without prejudice and stereotyping.

Interesting to note that Tweety's quote about the relative size of the subsidies to corporations has passed without comment.

    Sooo ... let's see here:

The radical right wants to ban abortion, limit contraception to the upper classes when they can't ban it altogether, eliminate food assistance, housing assistance, tax breaks for low income people, public transportation, public education, and allow those who can't afford health care or insurance to just die, already.

Meanwhile, twice as many of my tax dollars are going to keep rich guys rich than to keeping the working poor working.

Nothing like a little class warfare to spice up your day, eh?

my husband belongs to a patriotic lodge than unofficially functions as a senior hangout on weekdays.
i've been over there sometimes as they watch game and court shows.
plenty of cases with a guy with babies by multiple women.

    this is interesting:
