Well he's done it now! The person investigating the connections to Russia and who won him the election just got the sack via television. Wonder what information Comey has on him and will he climb off... Read More

"America" didn't get on board. Trump was elected by a minority of the voters, some (many?) of whom fell for the Russian disinformation, and the vagaries of the Electoral College, which dramatically favors the rural, sparsely populated states. And, thanks to the consistently poor US voter turnout, only a small minority of the adult population of the US voted for Trump. That's hardly "America" getting "on board" the "Trump Train." "Only" nearly 3 million more people voted for Hillary than voted for your guy, but, thanks to the undemocratic and unevenly weighted Electoral College, we got stuck with the Short-Fingered Vulgarian. We might not be stuck with him for too long, though ...
Please, tell me what Russian disinformation did I fall for?

I don't post much anymore. But it isentertaining to watch most of the posters here pat themselves on the back on a daily basis, for how much smarter they than others who tiptoe into the waters, for how righteous and accepting and open-minded (now there's a laugh) they are.

Yes, I agree. I too don't post a whole lot, but come here a few times a week for a chuckle or two.

Funny thing on Colbert last night. He broke the Comey firing to his liberalbot audience. They hadn't heard the news yet, and thus hadn't yet been programmed by Maddow, Stewart, Colbert, and the liberal press.

Upon hearing of the firing, they cheered loudly.

Interesting, isn't it, how the conversation has veered off of questions of the abuse of power and what is, in my opinion, the cover-up of serious corruption?

Yep, the troll brigade is at it again.

So instead of being entertained say something intelligent and interesting to educate us lesser mortals instead of the brief, vapid responses. Surely you have a mind to process the information? Why do you still think that his behaviors are tolerable and legal? RNdude, do you feel your wife or girlfriend should be dictated to or have their privates manhandled by anyone but you? It is very possible we all have it wrong but enlighten us. Do you not have the courage of your convictions to stand by your beliefs or do you think your arguments will crumble when exposed to scrutiny?

My argument is this. If he had nothing to hide, why assemble sycophants? Why not immediately a special prosecutor and put the matter to rest. He cares not one whit re the reputations of his colleagues nor the business of steering this country well. As before, I do not blame him because he's ignorant of the process, however, it's the weak insipid colleagues who appears to want him to fail instead of guiding him. What in the world was Sessions thinking by getting involved in sacking Comey when he recused himself? Can you do any medical procedures without technique or clearly defined steps thereby adhering to policy? Why would you possibly think that politics haven't got the same systems?

It's almost like you people haven't lived or are incapable of learning. How many times are you going to be taken in by snake oil salesmen? Is your pride more important than your children's futures or your mother's health?

I don't think my wife should be dictated to or have her privates manhandled by anyone, INCLUDING me.

I have to say, the relationship of that question to Donald Trump being president is lost on me.

Well the brilliance of that response has me gobsmacked. Of all the questions asked, that's what you zeroed in on. Ask your wife the relevance. Frankly I'm surprised she never brought it up. Now since we have your attention, how about addressing the other questions?

That's the only question you directed at me.

Which is fine, because spending much effort in discussion with most of you who are now frequently posting here (there are a few exceptions) isn't the best use of my time.

I must say though I do find it funny that Trump lies about everything and anything, except for that one time he was bragging to a young reporter about having his way with woman. Apparently, that was the one and only time he has been truthful in his life.

It should be pointed out that both SC RNDude and TNT have minds and "the ability to process information", and I don't think either supports the unwelcome manhandling of anybody's private parts.

FBI's role is to investigate and send findings to Grand Jury or DOJ's Office for prosecution. This guy grandstanded and was a Obama plant that forgot there was a new Sheriff in town with cojones. Gonna be a new FBI director. Hillary is practicing "Pleading The Fifth"
I take it you're referring to the initial reason given for Comey's firing, which was supposedly that Comey had overstepped his bounds by declining to prosecute Clinton, since only the AG office can decide whether to prosecute or not, which would be a decent argument if it were true. The FBI's job is to determine if a law had been broken and if so which one, and they found there were no laws that it could be argued she broke, which would appear accurate since nobody has been able to cite a law she supposedly broke.

He's fully allowed to fire the FBI director, but that doesn't mean he won't look bad if he handles it poorly, ie does so without any coherent reason, when the most likely reason appears to be that he doesn't like to be held accountable.

You got ran over by the Trump Train. America was on board. Only the liberals on the West Coast and some upper East Coast went for Hillary

Now sit back and enjoy the ride
As others have pointed out, more voters voted for Hillary than for Trump.

I'm certainly not a fan of all of his positions or proposals, but it also seemed that there would be a surprising number of things I might agree with and support him on, healthcare for instance. He's proven so far to be more ineffective than I would have expected, so I'm curious what someone who's managed to stay so enthusiastic about Trump thinks should make us "enjoy the ride"?
