America has been awash in guns for a very long time, yet mass shooting are a fairly recent phenomenon. I'm not the only one who has realized it's always men. Very interesting read that in some... Read More
Nov 16Quote from SC_RNDudeSo this is proof that Obama wasn't actually going after anyone's guns, eh?
Did you know that the ATF funding is largely stagnant (thanks Congress) and that the sheriff department of Harris County Texas has more personnel than are responsible to investigate these weapons crimes in the ATF?
Nov 16Quote from SC_RNDudeWe ought to vote this guy out of office! Oh wait, he left office 10 months ago. How many criminals have DJT's DOJ investigated?
I thought I heard speculation that the budget sequester may have impacted the lack of reporting from the Air Force. It will be interesting to see the results of that investigation.
Nov 16The latest shooter MADE some of his guns from some kind of kits he purchased online, or elsewhere. So I guess folks can purchase kits to build guns, the way you would model airplanes. I found that tidbit interesting.
And it was reported that the local police department didn't strictly enforce the provision that he turn his guns in. I guess everybody in town was scared of the angry, wacko. And with good reason: He was an angry, armed wacko.
Nov 16More to the point, Congress is still kicking around the silencer bill, and another bill that would have conceal carry licenses carry over from state to state. Both are further weakening of already weak gun laws. And the terrorist group, the NRA is pushing both.

Dec 12There are an estimated 300+ million guns in America depending on which source you use, likely more guns than people
The only question that really matters in this entire debate is "how are we going to remove millions of guns from the populace, including extremely stubborn and crazy people?"
No amount of NRA funding or defunding will affect the lunatic inbred gun-hoarding homicidal mofos in rural Alabama or even New York or LA. People often defend their guns with their guns. Even if you got law enforcement on board with trying to manually disarm tens (hundreds?) of millions of people, it would not prevent some maniac from hiding a gun under his floorboard and taking it out and killing people.
The situation is extremely futile no matter what legislation is passed or who receives what money from whoever.
only solution i can think of is long-term highly persuasive propaganda aimed at making armed men think they can be cool without guns
