The President Donald Trump Thread - page 45

I thought I would create a thread where we can talk about what he's currently up to. No particular topic but one that's ongoing with what he's doing and saying. I'll start with this speech on... Read More

He will very likely be impeached but Sessions is a big problem. However McConnell and Macain are lethal enemies for him. All those years in DC, all those alliances forged and Trump bringing attention to their shenanigans. Something is going to give but if Gorsush gets in, that could be a problem. Papa Bush doesn't like him and he's former CIA who knows where lots of skeletons are buried. It's very interesting times if you like politics. European politics is even more interesting right now. So many wonderful characters. Farrage, Merkel, Putin, May, especially Hollande'. Interesting times indeed!
I am having a little trouble tracking what your are saying. Are you saying Sessions is a big problem if DJT is impeached? In what way? The department of justice would not be involved in impeachment.

McConnell and Macain (sic) are lethal enemies for him? And, yet they allowed him to be elected, and have approved all his cabinet appointees.

If Gorsush (sic) gets in, that could be a problem? Again, are you saying this would be a problem for Trump, McConnell, or McCain? A Supreme court judge has no individual power over any elected official. Yes, he will most likely rule with the more conservative judges, if that is what you mean.

Yes Bush senior is a former head of the CIA, but I don't think his health is well enough to exhume any skeletons.

And per your previous post, I do not believe that Bharara wire-tapped Trump or Trump Tower. If it was done at all, it was most likely done by an intelligence agency, and they would have had to show probable cause to obtain a warrant.

MarkPerry, you are remarkably interested in wife beating videos. Never saw one until I looked at your posts. Any defense mechanisms occurring there?

I just got off the phone with the office of my Congressman, Andy Barr. Barr attended Trump's pep rally in Louisville last night, as did Mitch McConnell.

McConnell was apparently met with a mix of cheers and boos. According to press accounts, he made a short statement about the American Healthcare Act and then quickly left the stage. This is interesting because Louisville is McConnell's hometown.

Anyway, I informed Mr. Barr's staffer that I am one voter who I will remind the Congressman of his vote on the ACA, and ensure that he owns that vote. I also asked what the Congressman intends to do regarding that Agent Orange is punished for lying about Obama and wiretaps, thus, damaging the trust citizens place in their government. I believe it is a punishable act.

Of course, I asked for Agent Orange's tax returns to be released. The staffer tried to tell me that what was released on Rachel Maddow's show counted for a tax return release. No! I pointed out it was only two-pages from 2005. Not good enough.

I disagree LilNel, may have been 4 pages. Two eyes x's two pages unless he was wearing spectacles, then it would have been eight pages however if it was bifocals. I can't count that far, I'll just use alternative facts. Let's say 56 pages and call it a day?

Sorry, Avid Reader, but I am confused. Are you referring to the tax return? I'm just not following you.

Or maybe I can't recognize humor because I just got home from work where I had been listening to a 95-year-old cry out to God for two hours because she felt she was being punished.

It seems that I gave her her medications last tonight and she thought it was a conspiracy against her. No, somebody is first, somebody is last and somebody is in the middle. It is called life.

A Driver Fled His Truck to Avoid Freezing to Death. Only One Judge Ruled Against Him: Neil Gorsuch
Gorsuch was tapped by President Trump to fill the seat left vacant by Antonin Scalia’s death over a year ago. President Obama nominated Merrick Garland to replace Scalia nearly a year ago, but Republicans refused to even hold hearings, fearing Garland would tip the ideological balance of the court to the left.
One of the most riveting moments in the Gorsuch hearing occurred when Minnesota Senator Al Franken questioned Gorsuch about his ruling in a case involving a truck driver who got fired after he disobeyed a supervisor and abandoned his trailer that he was driving, because he was on the verge of freezing to death.
The truck driver couldn’t drive off with the trailer, because the trailer’s brakes had frozen.
In the case, Judge Gorsuch cast the sole dissent ruling in favor of the trucking company against the trucker....

The Supreme court position should remain open until we have determined that this embarrassing President is a traitor as well as a pathologic narcissist.

You know, I was kind of sitting on the fence about holding up the Supreme court nominee, but after the latest revelation about how Agent Orange's minions apparently helped the Russians anyway they could, well, I have to now agree with those who say: Stop this nominee.

I think what we have here is an illegitimate President. No, not the fake, he wasn't born here kind, but an honest to goodness illegitimate President who won the seat through Russian interference.

Where are the Trumpters to defend this criminal?

Again, my only source of joy in all of this is twofold: watching the Republicans implode and satisfaction in knowing that forever Trump will be known as a fool. His grandchildren will have nothing to be proud of. They will know their grandfather was a disgrace to the United States. I hope that knowledge makes Donnie-boy feel good.

Good thing Obama didn't close Gitmo. I think Donnie and Minions should be quite comfortable there.

Defend?? What can they possibly say, other than to try to deflect? "Oh, well Obama did/said/whatever ..." "Oh, well, Hillary did/said/whatever ..."

The only other option is the outright, "alternative facts" denial -- it's all just "fake news," made up, the lamestream media is just trying to keep him from making America great again because the media and all the liberals hate America.
