tewdles, seriously? Do you really, honestly believe that the conservative media is the only side to skew the facts? Do you really not see how the REST of the media twist things too?
I have said it before, and I'll say it again. The days of the impartial reporter reporting impartial facts are long over.

No, I do not feel that "right wing" media is the only outlet that fails to investigate and report facts. I have been pretty clear about that opinion throughout my posts.

It is up to us to seek out balanced and good reporting from a VARIETY of sources.
There are people across the political spectrum who live in information bubbles that contain ONLY dialog that agrees with them...right or wrong.

At this time, it is the "conservative" bubble that is more evident, IMHO, because of the rabid objections to Obama and the never ending attempts to thwart his efforts and discredit him.
Seriously, there are some legitimate concerns with this presidency, but it is hard to seriously consider them when so many on the right are crying wolf at EVERY turn.

The IRS scandal is part of the main topic of this thread which was started by Herring, is Herring a conservative poster now?

I agree. I wonder though how much of the crying wolf rabid comments are that rabid BECAUSE the rest of main stream media is simply enamored with Obama and act like he can do no wrong.
I mean, your average Joe is not going to go online, look up reliable sources for information, try to get legitimately informed. They will just turn on the news, watch CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and think about how smart they are being to watch these channels. Neither side is going to investigate, right or left. Again, I speak of Average Joe. So if the MAJORITY of main stream media is still under Obama admiration, and the only opposition to that is Fox, where does that leave us? Might as well just get rid of ALL news networks since they really don't serve any good purpose, right?

Anyone concerned about a big government agency abusing power should be concerned and want to seek discussion on this topic. Not just conservatives. I don't see what that has to do with anything, unless you are just seeking to distract.

It Wasn't Conservatives That Were Being Investigated by the IRS; It Was the Koch Brothers' Front Groups

    May 16, 2013
The President Obama of 2013 who is feigning outrage over the IRS adding extra scrutiny to nonprofit applications being filed with the words Tea Party in their title is not the same man who singled out Americans for Prosperity in a speech in 2010.
Americans for Prosperity was founded and funded by billionaires Charles and David Koch, who have funneled money into politics through front groups for over four decades to advance their corporate deregulatory agenda that powers their profits and personal wealth. The Kochs are majority owners of Koch Industries, one of the largest private corporations in the world. (According to Forbes, the brothers' wealth has almost doubled in just three years to $34 billion each - while 46 million Americans without lobbyists and clever tax attorneys live below the poverty level, including one in five children.)
Americans for Prosperity is a front for creating Tea Party groups around the country to project an outpouring of grassroots' momentum for the Koch agenda.
The President had this to say in 2010:
"Right now, all across the country, special interests are planning and running millions of dollars of attack ads against Democratic candidates. Because last year there was a Supreme Court decision called Citizens United - they're allowed to spend as much as they want without ever revealing who's paying for the ads. That's exactly what they're doing. Millions of dollars. And the groups are benign sounding - Americans for Prosperity, who's against that...None of them will disclose who's paying for these ads. ...

... In fact, the Tea Party is not a "political affiliation." The Tea Party is not the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, the Greens or the Libertarians. It is a name that has become so heavily aligned with the Koch brothers that if you search Koch brothers together with the words Tea Party in the Google search engine, you find 1.4 million links. Those links are backed with facts, starting with this video. In the video, David Koch appears before an annual convention of chapters of Americans for Prosperity and states "...my brother Charles and I provided the funds to start the Americans for Prosperity." ...

I believe that MANY voters and citizens DO concern themselves with getting good information and facts.
That some do not choose to is a given.
I will not give a pass to those who do not choose to seek out varied sources and then spout lies, half truths, distortions, fears, etc that come directly from those who monger those things.

We all know who they are...their comments reveal them...liberal and conservative alike. They put forth the expected objections and outrage and then are unwilling or unable to actually discuss any of the facts related to the issues. They are unwilling to explore why they are outraged and why I should be also.

Again, this is not a republican issue more than a democratic issue, but the republicans are currently in full-swing of this behavior because of the elections and the POTUS. IMHO

I was responding to the claim that non-conservatives are ignoring these issues, not trying to distract.

I realize there's a natural desire to 'turn the tables' and show that it's not just Fox news that ignores stories that don't support their storyline and theme. It's normal to want to rush where stories like this are being talked about and excitedly point out that there are no liberals to be found, although I can't help but notice the attempt to point that out was done in a thread on the topic started by a liberal.

this has to do with the suggestion that liberals are so far up this presidents butt that we cannot see the "important issues". Well, that particular "important issue" was addressed and a thread created about it not by a conservative poster, nor a republican, but rather, by one of the more progressive members of AN. That fact flies in the face of the supposition that liberals/democrats cannot examine this POTUS that belief is not based in fact as related to AN.
