This frustrates me. You afraid of being picked on? Getting your feelings hurt? You feel you can't speak your mind? Personally I speak my mind and can handle the heat.

How about the SNL person that Tweeted about Trump's son and got fired? She couldn't speak her mind?

There comes a time when people really have to be respectful and be called on for speaking their mind. It's called, respect, decency and manners.

Of course, sometimes it is a bit much. It's a bit much. Someone should be able to say "I'm against gay marriage" and not be called a hateful bigot. On the other hand, if people are speaking decently from their heart and with conviction, they should be a snow flake and whine about not being able to speak their mind and degrade others for being politically correct.

As a former liberal who became more conservative . . . even a bit libertarian as I've grown older, I found the young man thought-provoking. He was linked on my former (liberal) pastor's FB page this morning. I'm going to watch some of the older videos and keep watching him. I think he makes some very good points in relation to what you are talking about.

I have one question because I live in a sanctuary city. If the feds pull 1 billion dollars in funding, as Trump has threatened, do we get to skip paying our federal taxes?

Why would I continue to pay federal taxes and live in a city that gets no benefit from federal dollars???

I would suggest you ask your city officials how they plan to take care of the loss of funds, given they are breaking the laws.

    Nope.

Because you don't want to go to jail?

Where laws are unjust, breaking them is a moral obligation.
    We call it 'resistance.'

Sanctuary cities are a biblical concept. Remember that if you're a Christian.

This will be probably be settled in court after a while.
Is it the job of local police questioning witnesses to a hit and run (or other crime) to determine their immigration status?

Is it the responsibility for local jails to hold undocumented people awaiting court appearances? I don't know about others, but our jail is overcrowded and citizens are resisting the cost of expansion.

For my like-minded friends, skip on over to Twitter & check out #Trumpregrets. I find it makes me feel a tiny bit better to know that many people already regret voting for him. However, I'll warn you- it is a bit frustrating as they are angry with him for being exactly who he showed them he was before the election!
One of my favorites so far is the poor guy who was really upset to find out Obamacare & ACA are the same thing. He voted for Trump to get rid of that awful Obamacare, not the ACA which he personally has & still needs coverage for some upcoming surgeries. Wish I was joking.

It is utterly amusing to read the comments of Trump supporters applauding his action to ban Muslim immigrants from select countries. How foolish to you have to be to believe this action will somehow keep you safe from violence?

First, Saudi Arabia, the country from which most of the 9/11 attackers hailed from isn't on the list. Are you the least bit curious as to why? Probably not, but I will tell you anyway: Trump does business with Saudi Arabia.

Secondly, think about the folks who have committed the worst acts of violence in this country. Oklahoma City bombers were White guys who probably looked like your suburban neighbors. The guy who shot up the Jewish Community in Missouri was an elderly White guy with lots of anger issues. And who killed all those school children in Newtown Connecticut? Oh, another White guy with easy access to guns.

If you are truly concerned about being a victim of an act of violence, I suggest you first look to ban your relatives, neighbors, clergy, etc. from your bubble.

Banning men, women and children who are fleeing violence themselves will never keep you safe,

I really don't see how that has anything to do with what I'm talking about. Liberals don't "defend free speech", or "rights of the individual" (isn't that why we want gay marriage, fair wages, abortion???), or "human liberty" (again...gay right, etc.)

Sorry, but I'm not felling him and shut him off at two minutes.

Again, what's annoying is that people think they have to be politically correct and can't say things they feel like "Merry Christmas" which is totally ridiculous. I said Merry Christmas this year, how about you?

Yes, I said "Merry Christmas" to people who said it to me. But I am not religious, so I would have responded, "Happy Kawanza" or whatever you want to fill-in the blank with as of way of being polite to the original speaker. In no way, should my response be interpreted as anything other than a common courtesy.

The words have no actual meaning to me.
