Tweety, difficult to evaluate if his policies were bad or not? His solutions saved the country from undoubted catastrophic failure. Ideally the banks shouldn't have been bailed out and the culprits prosecuted, however Stoller, the article's author, misses the point of the proof being in the pudding. Obama should have enacted far more stringent regulations but the current situation proves that it would be worthless. Both houses, supreme Court picks, massive ignorance of the voters and a deeply compromised administration can easily reverse everything.
The problem to me is massive ignorance on an epidemic scale. I have Republican friends who are reasonably well educated (debatable?) who actually think that democrats like Hillary actually wants the country to fail and will deliberately enact policies to ensure such destruction. I never even argue because such delusional thinking deserves the spouses who marry them and the rash of misfortune that always accompanies such stupidity. They lurch from mishaps to misfortunes repeatedly.
Obama's education, political ignorance and lack of sociopathy enabled this current situation but sometimes you have to break eggs to make an omelette. Hopefully the omelette being served up stinks enough that voters can detect the stench of Russian fouls
