Obama's??

  1. How many people are truly surprised about the Trump debacle currently enfolding? Really...Truly.. Honestly? How could this not happen and why do we think that it isn't going to continue to just get much worse?

As nurses, assessment is the probably the primary skill that we require, and yet, I know so many people who actually voted for and supported him. Bad analogy, but if a male colleague demonstrated the same (behaviors), eg.. bellicosity, misogyny, racism, multiple divorces, bankruptcies and whatever else you choose to add, I'm actually being restrained, we would run a mile!!

I'm being completely honest in that I'm not surprised in the least except I thought it would be much worse and I'm sure that it's going to be.

Of course not ...just an innocent post on nursing assessment.

Should this be moved to the Breakroom? I mean, it's not nursing related in the slightest

Lemon Puff, I completely understand your concern and that you probably feel defensive. I have nothing against the administration and honestly I want him to do well. His success indirectly helps everyone. My job entails much international travel and unfortunately everyone's impression of us is that we're cracking up. That strangely enough translates into a weird business atmosphere. I have this serious problem of reading too much and an unnatural interest in my welfare. Selfish I know, but unavoidable. It just seems that there's a lot of smoke and even though I try to visit Brietbart often for counter balance, it's very hard to read anything that appears to be put together by the National Enquirer.
I hate having to worry about my property price, diminishing contracts, strained relationships with my customers and possibly having to restructure my business because voters are unwilling to do a modicum of due diligence and simply realize that almost always, where there is smoke, there is likely to be a fire.

Avid Reader, you don't even partially understand. Sour Lemon did not engage you in your political opinion, rather your "who me?" disclaimer that your post was not meant to be inflammatory. Your passive aggressive poke at his/her user name just makes you look petty. But I'm sure you completely understand that.

It's clearly Obama's fault that Trump looks bad at this point in his term. It is Obama's fault that Trump doesn't understand the intricacies of health care.

Noooo. You know it's the democrat's fault! We're so ashamed we lost so bigly we just keep bringing up these pesky Russian connections! If we weren't such sore losers we wouldn't keep after his administration to be honest & accountable!
Oh, and let's not forget how despicable the media is! My heaven's, they're actually FACT CHECKING him?? The nerve! Who could possibly remember that a few years ago they boasted of a close relationship with Putin? Don't they know he's really, really telling the truth now?
I guess it's a bit more difficult to when you can't just call up someone, anyone in your office & fire them if they don't "yes sir" you all the time.
I'm waiting for the final, unhinged tweet to America that says "You're all fired"!!

Well, nobody knew that healthcare was so complicated!! Just ask Trump.

There seems to be an unlimited number of things that nobody understands better than trump, that nobody does better than trump. He's the best at absolutely everything, just ask him! When caught a few times saying "nobody does XX better than Donald Trump" it can be chalked up to bragging. When it happens dozens of times it's probably more along the lines of delusions of grandeur. But then again nobody knows delusions better than Trump lol!

    An Aside. . . .

LOL! I'm giggling at the term "Lemon Puff". . . . LOL! (It does seem a bit passive-aggressive, but it's funny! LOL!)

I spend pretty much most of my time on the "Blue Side" (no pun intended) of Allnurses. I'd go to the "Yellow Side", but it's so big! (Anyone remember when this web-site didn't have "Yellow" and "Blue" sections?!? I do, and I kind of miss it . . . )

Back to the Topic. . .

Yep. . . It's pretty much Obama's fault for Trump's terrible choice of words and actions. I'm sure Obama played a huge role in Trump talking about grabbing women's private parts. . . .

I actually do think it's Obama's fault, no kidding aside. Trump's behaviors are totally expected and therefore acceptable to me. Obama is a serious academic who should have completely grasped mid term's importance and done a much better job galvanizing voters and if he did not understand the importance, then he doesn't deserve the respect he's accorded, despite all his previous accomplishments. Anyone with basic political knowledge knew the significance of not allowing Republicans to win because their policies are always for the select wealthy few. Govts serve all people not just the select few. Anyone who doesn't feel that I'm not a person with a hard fought voting right and thinks they can dictate about my medical issues and patronise my intelligence and worth, doesn't get my vote.

Even though I'm right leaning, the lack of character by Republican politicians capitulating to the current regime, makes me acutely embarrassed and for the democrats to have no backbone for so long to not pull out all the stops to win, is disheartening at best. I really fear for the future of our country because our election was compromised and our standards re ethics and morality is being seriously eroded.

If nurses are unable to grasp their own value and realize that a Republican policy healthcare system will severely compromise their future options and that of their loved ones, then when the rug is pulled out from under their feet, they have no reason to complain. Having a job is more important than making more money if you can lose that job for any reason whatsoever.
