- Aug 7, '12 by TweetyTo me it's natural that a sitting president, especially during these hard times, should have more negative press than a candidate running against him. By job description there should be more news about Obama since he's the POTUS.
What I don't get from the news I see is the claims that Obama has/is getting a free ride in the press, that he is the "anointed one".
It's also frustrating that some reporting, such any good news, such as job growth in certain industries, or housing markets in certain areas on the upswing, or even Obama being reported praising the Olympic athletes or the Mars mission is reported as liberal media bias in trying to get the President reelected. In my opinion it's just news. - Aug 8, '12 by tewdlesAny news reporting that does not crucify Obama for something is considered media bias by those who hate Obama as president.
- Aug 8, '12 by aknottedyarnI need to bookmark this well so every time I read about MSM bias I have facts and statistics to show. Of course this will probably be considered not fair and it will be anohter case of take the ball and go home rather than play nice.BCgradnurse and mediajunkie650 like this.

The site is an ultra left-wing liberal site. Worse than the Huffington Post. Nobody would consider them a credible source. Repeating what they say as fact would be like repeating what the KKK says as fact. They both have agendas. Besides this website is a British website that is owned by a company that was once owned by Rupert Murdoch.I need to bookmark this well so every time I read about MSM bias I have facts and statistics to show. Is the Huffington Post worse than Fox News?
Is there a particular statistic on the page you referenced faulty? Or do you dismiss it simply based on your opinion of source that compiled the statistics?
In reality the news, at least cable news, cares little about conveying information, or news. They want to attract viewers so they can sell advertising. If Fox News runs a story criticizing Gabby Douglas for not dressing as an American flag, or fanning the flames of Obama birtherism, they stir controversy and attract even more high-fiving views. The owners of the news outlets, almost all large corporations, are laughing all the way to the bank. (Corporations can laugh, since their people too, as Mitt Romney and the Supreme Court said.)
The news you get is almost completely from corporate sources. That is what the MSM is. Guys in suits with fiduciary responsibilities to shareholders. Good luck running a democracy on that. - Aug 9, '12 by TweetyQuote from HM-8404Not that the website in question isn't biased but didn't Murdoch start Fox News and all things ultra-conservative?Besides this website is a British website that is owned by a company that was once owned by Rupert Murdoch.
