Iran Tested Medium-Range Ballistic Missile

  1. Iran tested medium-range ballistic missile: U.S. official
Iran on Sunday carried out a test launch of a medium-range ballistic missile that exploded after 630 miles (1,010 km), a U.S. official said on Monday…

… The White House said it was aware that Iran had tested a missile.
"We're looking into that. We're aware that Iran fired that missile. We're looking into the exact nature of it, and I'll try to have more for you later," White House spokesman Sean Spicer said during a press briefing.
It was not immediately clear whether the test launch violated a United Nations Security Council resolution calling upon Iran not to carry out activity related to ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons...

It could well be true - but the Trump White House record of peddling "alternative facts", and the Republican history of freaking out over WMDs that aren't, make me highly skeptical. Is there any independent confirmation of this?

My thought exactly! While Reuters is a trusted source, they could be repeating "alternative facts."

On the other hand, if it is true, I could hardly blame the Iranians. Mr. Trump is a nut, whose world view is guided by Steve Bannon, a White Nationalist. I'm sure the Iranians are nervous about the crazy train aka Trump administration.

I can't find anything except "White House reported" information.
The alleged test, which Iran has declined to confirm, is seen as an early test of President Donald Trump's national security strategy. It is said to have occurred on Sunday. A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters that a medium-range ballistic missile exploded after traveling 630 miles...

Count me in as skeptical at best. I'm not saying I don't put it past Iran, but look at how many US bases surround Iran. Iran hasn't been involved in any wars of aggression for several hundred years, in contrast with the US.....

Maybe Obama can try to give them millions of more money via pallet.

Obama is a muslim sympathizer, He was very weak on policy especially in the world

Now we have a grown up in the Whitehouse and Trump is acting like a true leader.

Dumbo got taken advantage of in the Iran deal, but that is what happens when you let a boy try to do a mans job.

"We have a grown up in the White House".

    Bwahaha

Trumplethinskin the man child with the 6th grade vocabulary and elementary schoolyard bully tactics is considered a grown up? Or maybe the sycophant was referencing Bannon, the grown up white supremacist who seems to be running things at the white house.

If Iran did fire a missile, I'm pretty sure it is not something cobbled together in the last week or two. It takes longer to develop and build a ballistic missile.

Iran's feelings toward Israel are no secret. I do remember bits of the Iran/Iraq war but not if one or both were the aggressor in that modern conflict.

Trump Administration just put Iran on notice.

Iran will now understand we have an Adult in charge now, This is no longer an Obama Admin. who will stick his head in the sand and bend over and kiss Irans feet.

I say bomb away on Iran, if they keep up their actions.

Iraq started the war. While Iran certainly isn't an ally of the West, they'd like nothing more than have sanctions lifted, exploit their oil, and enjoy some peace. They are actually a modern country poised to join the world.

Of course I could be wrong.

I supported Obama's reaching out to be inclusive of not only Israel (we still gave them billions and billions during his 8 years) but the region as well. Trump is probably going to take us back in time and that's not "an adult in the White House", it actually makes things a bit more dangerous for us.

    In my opinion.

Iran was dismissive of Trump's remarks.

If I had to put money on Iran or Trump, I'm picking Iran.

What else is new? A liberal choosing state sponsors of terrorism over America and freedom is nothing new.
