He is my boy, I have known him since he was Mayor of Davao City, I am still in shock he even ran for the Presidency and shocked the rest of the country voted for him. I didn't think they would accept his Iron fist way of running a country.

Why is it that male qualities are what's desired in leaders? Even Britain and Germany have strong alpha males it seems.
I don't consider Theresa May a strong alpha male. She was drooling all over Trump and has gotten a thrashing for it back home.

Personally I like Angela Merkel. She isn't fawning all over Trump. She knows there is no need to.

From what I have read she is looking for the USA to be a major trade partner with England since they left the EU.

US and England will always have each other backs, just like US and Australia have always done.

Agree. US and England are tight and always will be. The UK is one of the few places where trade is pretty balanced without a huge deficit. Interesting that the with Australia it's one of the few countries where we have a rather large surplus, yet he's already antagonized them with his alpha male tactics. Even though one of their senators made a Trump doormat, with the message that Australia is not America's doormat, but still he said they were our closet ally.

I understand that the idea of "America First" and why that's popular but that doesn't mean we have to be a witch about it. We're world leaders, part of a global community that like it or not we're dependent on and should act like it.

The rest of the world understands that it's a global economy and they aren't our doormat to be bullied. In fact they need us less and less (economically speaking) and could leave us behind.

Probably not so much Australia any more since your 'alpha male' insulted them.
Like, how do you manage to insult one of your longest-standing allies?
Yet he managed to pull it off.

Usually, I substitute the phrase 'alpha male' with 'compensating for something', roll my eyes and move on.

Given the specific "alpha males" markperry has referenced here admiringly, one could also substitute "murderous thug" (and roll one's eyes and move on).

Each country has their laws and ways of doing things. In USA, I am not a fan of abortion, but I don't go out protesting or judging.

When I travel to other countries I respect and live by their ways, it is what everyone does. In Philippines divorce is illegal, If find it odd, But I don't protest it. If you are a criminal or part of syndicate that preys one innocent people you will be a target of assassination. I do like this one

When I go to Mexico, I do find it odd to see young women married to much older guys, But it is their culture. Same as many Middle Eastern and some Asian countries, I find it interesting to see them have multiply wives, but I don't object.

You have to go with the flow in each country, and either accept their culture.
