Did Trump get a medical degree from Trump University??? - page 3

I've been reading the articles about Trump's disregard for scientific facts, this time having to do with vaccination and not global warming. He thinks both are scams. When he was a candidate no... Read More

I would suggest that you are being generous with your supposing about the education of our resident Trump apologist. There is little evidence of much actual or real education in most of what is posted in troll fashion.

You get kudos for being kind and generous when that would not be reciprocated by the recipient.
I have wondered if they are nurses/students or are indeed the straight up trolls that they appear to be. But it doesn't really matter. And no, I absolutely don't expect any respect- or even rationality- from them.
As I am a real nurse, I am quite accustomed to attempting to educate people who have no desire- or even the capacity- to absorb information.
In life, as at work, I try to conduct myself in such a way that I have no difficulty looking myself in the eye in the mirror every morning. I find I live a much happier life that way.
    The kudos are much appreciated!!

This is kind of random, but I find it appropriate for the times we're in.

"The whole problem with the world is that fools & fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people are full of doubts"

attributed to several folks, one of which is Bertrand Russell.

I think of this quote, a lot.

Nothing has happened but as usual the left goes into chicken little mode with the sky is falling. Why don't you wait until some actual plans have actually been put down on paper instead of the typical knee jerk reactions from some obscure writer trying to stir a non-existent pot?
You're hardly in a position to complain about others' "typical knee jerk reactions."

Haven't heard that one before. It certainly fits the zeitgeist. It reminds me of the Yeats lines from The Second Coming:

"The best lack all conviction, while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity."

I saw an HL Mencken quote I liked this week, referring, of course, to our "so-called" president:

“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

The quote I put may have been someone rephrasing Yeats.

That HL Mencken...is horrifyingly apt & awesome!

At times I think there was no option but to come to this .. this base human being being elected. To give (some) people exactly what they asked for to show them what the worst in their nature can do. And after it blows up, then maybe people will work together for the common good. Maybe.

Nope, you're right -- it comes up as Bertrand Russell when I Google it.

Evidence based practice is continually evolving so the science is not always black and white. If Evidence based practice is not peer reviewed it is basically junk science. You libs think by throwing out words like science and calling people ignorant and other names makes you seem intelligent, but you live in the left wing echo chamber hearing what you want to hear.
I'm the one that posted the topic of this thread. And in no way liberal, thank you. I use words like Science when I am discussing things that involve science, crazy I know.

Do you have anything to contribute to the discussion at hand? The fact is that the current president thinks that vaccines not only 'don't work" but are even harmful. He thinks they cause autism. He knows little to nothing of proven medical advances, aka vaccinations and demonstrates that ignorance time after time after time.

I posted this very concerned about the future of our Public Health as this president has a blatant disregard for proven scientific fact. There are no alternative facts there are only Facts and Lies. Insisting vaccines cause autism is spreading a lie. Telling people vaccination is a medical scam is a lie that will HURT people who will blindly listen to an ignorant president instead of educated medical professionals!

Seems the answer to my question "do you have something to contribute" is silence.
