Did Trump get a medical degree from Trump University??? - page 2

I've been reading the articles about Trump's disregard for scientific facts, this time having to do with vaccination and not global warming. He thinks both are scams. When he was a candidate no... Read More

Great article, elkpark! Shame our new president doesn't like to read.
One of the very few things he 'promised' that I was in agreement with was going after pharmaceutical companies pricing of drugs. That would be of greater help to Americans than his plans for the FDA.
But, of course, he's already walked back on cracking down on drug pricing.

Ok- anxiously awaiting tedious, inane & pathetic comments from rnmaybe...

Could possibly, might happen... more fake news articles by the agenda driven left. Nothing in concrete facts but a few chosen selective interviews. If the FDA was so great at keeping patients safe why were Vioxx, Darvocet and 33 other drugs that were later pulled by the FDA ever approved?

Are you really kellyanne conway just trolling nurses? Lol! Blah blah trump is the bestest mostest greatest ever- period. Oh, sorry, that was the other spewer of alternative facts.
Well, the FDA doesn't do the actual testing- the drug companies do. And in the case of Vioxx, Merck wasn't entirely upfront about their results in the beginning. Not sure about Darvocet except it was on the market a heck of a long time before it was pulled & I'll be honest- I don't know why.
As for 33 other drugs pullled...How many do you think will need to be pulled if regulations are loosened or reduced? There is already a fast track application process for certain categories of drugs. The testing is done by pharmaceutical companies that no one seems to want to reign in or hold responsible.
It would seem to me, as a rational, thinking human, that FDA regulations are a line of defense for those American people trump is always saying he's trying to protect.
But wait- let me put on my trump colored glasses.... OMG you're right! Safe drugs for Americans are a vast left wing conspiracy invented by crazy liberals!!! The horror!!

Nothing has happened but as usual the left goes into chicken little mode with the sky is falling. Why don't you wait until some actual plans have actually been put down on paper instead of the typical knee jerk reactions from some obscure writer trying to stir a non-existent pot?

The left lives and dies by Fake News. If it is on TV then it must be true. They are convinced Trump and Australian leader had disputed phone call, they are convinced Trump was being mean to Arnold, they were convinced Hillary was going to win the Whitehouse, etc..........

Your response is pretty much what I expected. Let me preface my remarks with a little personal info. I'm married to a trump supporter. So enthusiastic he has a 'deplorables' t-shirt! So I'm well acquainted with how the mind of a typical trump fanatic works, the different arguments they make, and the stages they go through in a discussion.
Since I don't really care if you ever come around to reality, I'm not going to catalog what, I and many others, consider to be trump's lies & poor decisions. If it doesn't come from fox or breitbart, to y'all it's fake news, lol.
Trump supporters are like domestic violence victims still in the relationship- he tells you he's the only one who can help you, everyone is lying to you so he can spin the narrative he wants you to believe. You won't see the truth until you get some distance. I know that sounds drastic & you'll scoff and make fun- but it's the best comparison I've heard. (And no disrespect to actual abused partners intended)
Stages of a trumpkins argument- after you state how great he is; rebuttal with his STATED plan to cripple FDA; trumpkin- FDA isn't doing job anyway & misstates their purpose. Rebuttal- corrects trumpkin on actual job of FDA & how proposed changes will harm. Trumpkin: just wait to see if it happens, maybe it won't plus gratuitous comments about liberals borrowing trouble. Rebuttal (which I'm not wasting time actually doing) cataloging damaging crap the cheeto has already done. Trumpkin: WE WON, YOU LOST, GET OVER IT !! (runs away like a child)
The thing is, as ardent of a supporter as my husband is, even he admits that many of trump's actions, words and decisions are highly questionable. We haven't had a discussion that ended like that since the inauguration. Why? Because he is seeing what kind of decisions are being made. No more saying "wait...". The deplorables t-shirt hasn't been out of the drawer in a while.

Lol, Nope!! They amuse me so much- I just can't help poking the bear to hear the ineffectual roar. They're so easy & predictable I almost feel bad...nah, that's a lie- wait, I'm sorry we live in times where there are no lies, only alternative facts.

I used to feel amused by the rantings of our resident Trump apologist but quickly found that it was about as boring as reading the same dumb comic panel over and over again. Now I only read that juvenile drivel when someone quotes them.

I do absolutely understand your weariness with them and I'm sure I'll get there-sooner rather than later, I would imagine. I think it's that I wasn't reading & posting for a while so it's like a new toy right now.
But it's also fascinating to me that, supposedly educated, people are so willfully blind to what is so obvious to so many people.
This is The Emperors New Clothes brought horrifyingly to life. It would be an all out knee slapper if the consequences weren't so serious.

I would suggest that you are being generous with your supposing about the education of our resident Trump apologist. There is little evidence of much actual or real education in most of what is posted in troll fashion.

You get kudos for being kind and generous when that would not be reciprocated by the recipient.
